A Fortnite BrickHeadz set has been revealed on LEGO.com: 40728 Brite Bomber, a 151-piece blocky version of the popular in-game skin.

This set will be a gift-with-purchase, presumably beginning on the 1st of October, but we will let you know official details when we can.

Additionally, another upcoming GWP, the recently discovered 40697 Halloween Pumpkin, has also been added to LEGO.com. That offer should be starting on the same day.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments, and view images of both sets after the break...

Actually doesn't look bad, just sad that it is (or might be) locked as a GWP. Although that print makes the entire figure seem off, but that's probably for matching the in-game character.

I'm honestly surprised BrickHeadz are still around. I don't feel strongly about them either way--I own a couple of that I found on clearance a few years ago, and they're fine.

It just doesn't seem like people get really excited about them either. *shugs*

This honestly could have been executed better. The only great part is the head which I think looks great with the glasses.

Hoping we might get a Peely brick headz because that would be really unique.

Brite Bomber? wake me up when we get a Bomber Harris brickhead

By in United Kingdom,

Looks pretty decent, albeit it’s one of those gifts where I’m perplexed as to why it’s a gift and not just, a thing available to buy - forever bewildered by the decisions made for these.

Huw was actually pretty close to the real name. It WAS, in fact, a "Pumpkin" not a "Jack o Lantern."

By in United Kingdom,

40728 is nice enough although I wouldn't be surprised if it's exclusive to Fortnite purchases, which don't interest me.
40697 is of much more interest since there are several mid-priced October releases that I don't think I can resist!

Neither does she come with Finch Dallow! Now how will I get a character who appears for >10 seconds in a movie which not many people even like! /j

Seriously, even though I don't like brickheadz all that much, I can atleast appreciate that they exist...
I guess?

It's going to be a bit of a bummer if 40728 is exclusive to Fortnite purchases, given you could preorder the Fortnite sets.

"Halloween Pumpkin." Honestly the most effective English-language name they could have picked, two words, to the point, factually true, and an acceptable compromise regardless of any online nationalism.

By in United Kingdom,

Although the Halloween Pumpkin is being widely rumoured for the 1st Oct, I can't help thinking that the 2nd week of October is more likely as per the Mystic Witch for Halloween 2023 and 2022.

Hey, at least they didn't call it something feeble like "X-squash". Silver linings, you know?"

I think it only becomes x-squash after it's been in the compost for a while.

By in United States,

Maybe in the minority here, but I like it. I like the color and love the goggles! Some Brickheadz are "eh" and some jump out as different, and better. Like Balrog, Padme, Carl Russell and Kevin, Wall-E and EVE, Tusken Raider, and even Homer and Krusty the Clown. And the iconic Han in Carbonite! I love when they get it right, and this one joins the club.

Another Brikckheadz. How fun

By in United States,

speak for yourself, i LOVE BrickHeadz. and clearly they're enduringly popular enough to still be around, ever heard of a silent majority

Right?! It's not like they need to incentivize purchases that will be made on the 1st, 3rd, and 6th owing to the fresh batch of new releases :)

I'm surprised LEGO was fine with 'Bomber' in the name, since they're very um...Hmm...

I’m surprised that people are still surprised. They’ve made it to 254, I feel like it doesn’t take much explaining to see that they’re clearly popular enough to continue. They’re pocket money prices, with usually very recognizable characters. That’s two huge popularity boosts

Like, you don’t have to love Star Wars, but how silly would it be for someone to be like “Star Wars doesn’t appeal to me, why do they keep making them?”

Listen, Jack. There's a whole lot of squash being made over Xs and Os.

All I know is that I have to keep my precious pumpkins inside or the local gang of ruthless, anti-holiday squirrels run off with darned things.

And, if you come to my house on the 31st sayin' "Pawden, 'at's a noice "Alloweeen Pumpkin, Guv," I'm dropping a turd in your sack instead of that awesome 'Merican candy.

Ditto minifigures... I couldn't care less if they stopped tomorrow, but can certainly see why they won't!

Gravatar
By in United States,

If I want a Brite Bomber, I'll track down the minifig from 77073 on Bricklink, it's one of the figs from that set that I really liked. I'm not going to get a Brickheadz of a character from a game I never played (well, I played it for no more than a minute on my Switch, but then remembered how much I stink at playing shooters with console controls), but I love the way they did the goggles. Shame the minifig doesn't have those.

Yeah, agreed. You only have to look at Funko's success with their Pop! figurines to see why Pop!s made of Lego (and slightly cheaper somehow) would be successful.

By in Australia,

Looks like a Halloween PAC-Man set. I like it.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is it just me, or does the set name immediately remind anyone else of an event in a (UK) South Coast town in 1984? I thought these days sets were vetted and anything sensitive was not proceeded with. (Even to the extent that a few years ago, a Technic VTOL aircraft was dropped in case it was too military.)

With the added bonus you can use them as parts when you’re bored of the figure.

By in United Kingdom,

I know nothing about this character (40728 Brite Bomber) but the circles on the head which I presume are glasses or goggles are giving me ideas for horns for a custom Hellboy Brickheadz

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well when you see the large selection at the LEGO store, you will see these Brickheadz are quite abundant, so I'm assuming popular. I was surprised when I saw the display of all of the current available options.

The colors and design work well here. I know very little about Fortnite other than they stole dances from popular videos.

Looking a bit more definite now, with a TikTok promo from a LAN member stating 1st Oct.

Finally, a pocket-money Fortnite set and of course it just had to be a GWP.

One of ems about £10-£12
And the prices are good value generally"

But it doesn't change the fact that later it will be sold on secondary markets for trice as much.

It's really surprising that Lego didn't pay attention to the historic sales figures of caricatures, Bobbleheads, and Funko Pops... oh, wait...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The pumpkin wouldn't normally interest me as fairly generic build, but the light brick has plenty of potential so would buy on its own and just hoping the GWP threshold is not too high!

You wanted a cheap set, you got a cheap set. Now you're just looking for things to hate, and that's a terrible look. If you're going to hate something, do it honestly and earnestly.

Nobody likes fake hate, my guy."

No, it's not like I hate it, these are just first monent impressions, but now I'm just a little disappointed as all Brickseters sometimes are. Okay, maybe I'll try to save up for 77070.
