The Botanical Garden

©2024 LEGO Group

Unlike most first-of-the-months, there are not many new releases today, just two in fact. But they are both big, awesome, and if you snap them up before 7th November, they'll be accompanied by an exclusive and desirable gift with purchase.

Additionally, you'll also receive another GWP, 40698 Books Are My Passion, on orders over £120/£120 which the two new sets exceed by some margin!

By in United Kingdom,

Starting to feel like a pointless LEGO Outsider - still "coming soon". How soon?

By in Belgium,

The Botanical Garden just changed from "coming soon" to being available for purchase here in Belgium! Snagged it, together with the two available GWPs

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really just want 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, but I fear that they might be out of stock for good.

The standard acronym is just EDT, but yeah, we went off the April/October schedule in favor of March/November way back in 2007.

By in United Kingdom,

Best set of the year ordered... no, not X-Men!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I the only one who thinks that it'd be funny to buy both, and then swap the minifigs in the two sets and their associated GWPs?

As @Huw said in the 5009005 review, they weren't offered a copy for review. So if there's a review, it'll have to be one someone went out and bought it.

By in Australia,

Been available here for 13 hours now. Didn’t really care for the GWPs so got triple points instead on the BG and mansion. No more Lego for a month now.

Gravatar
By in United States,

US sales are live. One botanical garden on its way. Plus GWPs

Grabbed the Botanical Garden, got 2 GWP and reduced the price by $100 by using some VIP! :D

I save my points for the annual modular

By in United States,

X-Mansion secured! I completely forgot about Books Are My Passion, so that was a nice surprise along with the Cerebro GWP.

I have a friend who does the same. I sometimes do, but I also use them to reduce the “cost” of sets that I really want but I think are slightly overpriced…

By in United States,

Put in my order for 21353 The Botanical Garden, 5009005 Entrance Gate, 40698 Books Are My Passion, and 40705 Micro NINJAGO City Gardens. Once these arrive, I'll only need to get 40706 Micro NINJAGO City Markets to complete the Micro Ninjago City collection.

By in Australia,

I wish Lego would wake up to themselves with their nonsense prices.

$500 AUD. Sod that. No way this is worth that amount of money (half a grand). The interior is very lacking and surprisingly empty of plants.

Its such a shame because the exterior of the botanical garden is lovely, really well done. It also looks great next to existing modulars (unlike the X Mansion).

Hopefully the 2025 modular will be more appropriately priced.....

By in Sweden,

Wow, a lot of inpatient people around here I see. Just wanted to throw in a reminder that later this month is black friday and cyber monday, and before that insiders weekend... Probably not going to be super-deals on these brand new sets, but I imagine perhaps some double insider points and what not. Not to mention what deals other retailers might offer. Do what you wish with your own cash people, but I'm in no rush at the moment.

I’ve only been to a few, but every real botanical garden I’ve seen has been just as sparely populated. If you pack them full like you’d find in real life, it would make picking out individual specimens very difficult.

How?

By in United States,

While ordering the Botanical Garden I learned: 1. You can only use a max of 3 gift cards on an order and 2. You can’t use gift cards and then pay the rest with PayPal. Made for an extremely frustrating checkout experience. I wonder if I’d called to order over the phone any of that would have been different?

I would always do that too! But now I feel like I've set myself up for some sort of LEGO subscription service.
So, I just picked up the x-men mansion and 2 GWP - and used up $100 saved rewards.
Then I turn around and do the exact same thing with the Botanical Gardens - separate order, 2 GWP and also used another $100 in saved rewards. It took the "sting" off of the price for both of them.

However, now back to my original point...... I save up for the yearly Winter Set... I try to hoard for the yearly modular set.... now I'm suddenly trying to keep pace with the now yearly giant, expensive Marvel building. How many LEGO lines of sets did I just subscribe myself to? (this is apart from any of the botanical or Friends sets that my wife and daughter request).
I need to subscribe to the "I need a bigger house" service.

While people are regularly impatient, I think this is a more logical time to buy it immediately. Each of the two sets comes with an exclusive GWP that will stack with a regular gwp. Two GWPs(assuming you wanted them), is a pretty good "discount". Of course, if they didn't interest you, waiting is certainly the best option.

By in United States,

I took our daughter to the local LEGO store about an hour and a half after they opened today. We were there for the X-Mansion and maybe some other things. Cerebro was already “sold out,” so we left with nothing. She’s fine. I’m 45 and sad. Read that how you will.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Most exclusive sets have to have nice GWPs or extra points to temp a day 1 purchase. The Botanical Garden was a day 1 buy whatever. I dare say it will be 30% cheaper in 3 months, but then I will have enjoyed it for 3 months more. Bargain. The last 'must have right now' set was the Atari 2600!

Sure would. They don’t take PayPal over the phone at all.
