77037 Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth revealed!
Posted by TheBrickPal,
LEGO Horizon Adventures just recently launched on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, and now, Amazon Mexico has unveiled a new set based on the game: 77037 Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth!
The 768-piece set will be released on March 1st, though pricing information is not yet known. It includes a new variant of Aloy with a unique bow element, the first-ever Varl minifigure, the two titular machines, and a small campsite.
We had previously speculated about the possibility of future Horizon sets after 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck, so it is exciting to see them come to fruition so soon! We can only hope that many more are to follow.

They even have removable weak points!
Still waiting for Thunderjaw. That's day one for me.
Nice bow.
Arm and leg printing as well as new hair molds- this sure isn't Star Wars!
The builds look nice, a bit messy. Not nearly as good as the first set. But, still pretty cool.
I wonder if the price will be as reasonable as the first set was?
So excited to get more Horizon sets! LEGO - take my money!!!!
Yay a new Horizon set ! I love the removable parts that mimic the game. The sawtooth is cool but the shell walker wasn't a favourite of mine in the game.
This looks very good! I'm not interested in the game but this set looks like quite a good purchase for someone who is.
I loved the Horizon Tallneck set, and I’m so happy to see that we’ll be getting an entire theme to go along with it! Also, the move from 18+ to 9+ means that we can get cool box art instead of the void.
Waiting for the modular to be revealed. None of this interests me, though I try to appreciate that it interests everyone else.
Nice, but these obviously don't have quite the visual impact the Tallneck had. So probably not for me.
Lego kept that one quiet.
Released in Sylens even.
This makes me so happy
I haven't played it yet, but the sets look promising.
Happy, not very elaborate (borderline simplistic) but i'm still happy. Goes along the recent discussion on the Star Wars barge. i.e basically, I'll take what I can get.
Awesome!
That was the kind of news I was really waiting for when they announced the video game.
Let's hope it isn't the only one.
Nice, but it doesn't interests me as much the Tallneck.
Shell-Walker is an odd choice, I think is one of the most boring machines. I own the Tallneck and is wonderful, however this set will cost $45 which is insanely cheap for 768 pieces and arm printing for a licensed set. I'll keep an eye on it. I loved the bow but Aloy can't turn her head because of the hair.
From rumours circulating else where online, I this this is set to sell at around £45 with sound fairly reasonable to me.
Snapmaw, Bellowback, Lancehorn and Strider would be the next ones on my list.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
I'm glad for this set and I will most likely purchase. I was surprised that no sets were released alongside the launch of the game, but March isn't so far away.
I found those Shell-Walkers annoyingly hard in the first game.. Aloy's bow was the slight thing that let the Tallneck set down, so it's good to see a new piece here.
Nice set, I have never played any game of the Horizon series, but voted for Aloy as the best minifigure of the year in the 2022 Brickset poll when 76989 was launched.
Similar to the new Botanicals theme, I think this will be another interesting case of database classification. 76989 is currently categorised as Icons/Licensed, while 77037 is categorised as Horizon/LEGO Horizon Adventures. From the picture of the box and the title of the game, it looks like the actual name of the new theme is LEGO Horizon Adventures (instead of Horizon), so one suggestion would be changing the subtheme of 76989 to Horizon (keeping the theme Icons for this set), and changing 77037 to LEGO Horizon Adventures/Horizon, so both sets (and future ones based on the video game series) can share the same subtheme.
Just like with Overwatch, I have never played this game series. But the Lego sets are beautiful. I was immensely pleased with the Hamster Ball, and the Tallneck is a masterpiece. This set is less impressive as it is smaller, more playable builds, but it will look superb next to the Tallneck. So that’s a yes please from me
My real question is why not have this ready around the time the game drops.
Still don't get the appeal of this franchise. And I don't understand what am I looking at — two white "creator" robots? Not sure, if they are suposed to be antogonistic, or not.
At least they've finally made Sonic and Mario sets. And Fortnite. The latter with the ban on the shooter genre is insane.
The details in this set aren't as intricate as the Tallneck set, but I'll still gladly buy it. It's understandable, considering this set appeals to a different age demographic. That being said, it still looks good. The Varl minifigure in particular looks amazing, I love the arm printing.
I saw the Just2good video on this, and as I commented on that video, I don't have any real interest in the set, but I *want* that Aloy minifig. If I had a Bricklink store, I'd probably buy the set, then sell everything but her and her bow.
I don't know anything about this franchise except that one of the recent games upset people who've never seen a woman in real life, but the set looks really cool.
No joke, I literally stayed up past midnight watching Blitzwinger's walkthrough of this game. I know little to nothing about the Horizon franchise, but this new game and these sets have me very intrigued!

This is not the Lego-forum you’re looking for.
Just kidding, that’s the spirit!
When the game was first announced, I wasn't too sure about it. However now that it's out and having seen some people play I think looks really amazing.
As for the set itself it is lovely. I love that they included the weak points on the robots. As well as the new bow piece looks great and comes with other pieces to make it into a flame bow, a multi shot bow or a ice bow . And the price for a licensed set of this size is quite reasonable.
Hope to see more

Same! I always watch Blitzwinger's walkthrough of a Lego game. Unless if I don't want to be spoiled. And from what I have seen I might consider purchasing it.

I want it to be the same size as the T Rex from 75936.
Perfect choice of a Shellwalker being next!

Gotta disagree there. They're one of the more memorable ones. They're the machines that carry a treasure chest on the back. They're one of the most unique to fight too, the way their weak points and disconnects work. They're the machines you always most want to beat by shooting off parts more than just dealing damage to the core.
And, especially in the first Horizon game (which the Lego game is based from, which is the origin of this set), they stick out as probably the 3rd most-known (after Tallneck -- which we already got -- and Thunderjaw -- which would be another big premium set).

I'm not sure if I want to ask or not.
It's cool, I wish the fans of the game all the best with the new game and these sets... Though I personally wish it was Bionicle in this position. But to each their own, I'm just a fan of characters of one, and this is to characters of another so whatever.

The graphics, particularly character modelling, are pretty incredible, and when some incel types saw that Aloy even had faint peach fuzz on her face they got agitated. Apparently us women are only acceptable if we’re completely hairless. Who knew?
As a non-game fan, I really do like this set. If its cost is reasonable (which it seems to be) I'll be picking it up.
I have no familiarity with this IP, but the set looks interesting. The style of the set makes it fee like a flesh-toned Dreamzzz.
Something I noticed, we got an +18 Horizon Tallneck set seemingly out of nowhere and more than a year later we get a Lego Horizon game. Well an odd thing is that it released on Nintendo switch when Horizon is a PlayStation IP. Now it seems like maybe a short wave of sets will release next year based on the game. This year we suddenly got the +18 Legend of Zelda set, and based off of the Horizon pattern, as well as Zelda being a Nintendo IP. There may be a chance something similar may happen. Just saying (crossing my fingers and hoping for the best)
Really happy to be getting more Horizon sets. And I hear this is rumored to be $45, which is practically a steal for what you get.
Thunderjaw can't be too far off now can it?
as i am not familiar with Horizons, this comment is very objective...
That chunks of random bricks look eyesoring. What are they supposed to represent? Some sort of robots? The Minifigs are detailed enough and i guess this could be a buying reason for fans. The rest is realy ugly in my opinion.
Nice. Fingers crossed for a Kotallo fig, maybe with a Scorcher?
so here's proof that Lego can make sets that look good and are fairly priced. this means they just don't feel like it most of the time.
Having no real idea about the game, but buying & loving the Tallneck, I am definitely excited for this one. It looks equally as good. Has the same color palette & a cool new minifg!

Nice!
This looks like a 4+ set compared to the Tallneck.
Oh man it should be illegal to not release a set with Erend and Teersa after this! Really hope this is the first in a larger series.
Been having an absolute blast playing the lego horizon game co-op with my 4yr old daughter after she's seen me play the original games some times. Great to share the fun and the humour is spot on.
Shellbacks were one of my favorite things to hunt in Horizon, love seeing them here!
Also the "I've seen you!" exclamation marks over the robots' heads is a nice touch.
After the amazing Tallneck this current set doesn't impress. It doesn't look bad but I hoped they would follow it up with a Thunderjaw.
Snow flake NPU! also the new one by one inverted stud with clip on bottom is going to be game changing (it's the reverse of this 25893 and can be seen connecting the legs of the Shell Walker to the body
I might just get this set for the figures. It's at a decent price I feel. As a non-Horizon fan, the builds don't really impress me at all though maybe I'll grow to appreciate it. It probably won't be an immediate buy but I might pick it up some time down the road.
I bought the game solely after seeing this article. It's a pretty decent game and uses countless elements with interesting building techniques. Pretty immersive for those who like to build dioramas and I imagine there will be a few more creatures/characters later next year
