Double Insiders points starting this weekend

Easy pass on the Christmas gwps. Everything I want is either oos or backorder anyway.

I may try my luck in my local Lego store for the gwp: the last order I placed at LEGO.com came in shockingly poor condition.

Snap, my last Lego order box was crushed. But I did get 3200 points compensation.

There should also be a second free gwp, the 40702 Christmas picture frame, probably for 80€ and equivalent.

Just in time to get the last Christmas gift purchase

All but one of sets I wanted next are on backorder, or out in January, but I might see if I can try and order something, the lure of double points is too hard to ignore.

I actually like the ballerina GWP. Reminds me of Sissi somehow. Not sure if I want to spend another 150 bucks on LEGO though...

If you place the order during the double points event, then don't you still get the double points even if the item is on backorder at the time?

I believe so, because of when you placed the order.

Yes, you will get your double points when the item is shipped. I called LEGO with that very same question.

Yeah a few items I wanted during their BF promos, but no double points at the time, and found a bunch of non-exclusives on sale to buy and also get some cash back for in addition to the promos. Now that double points is here, not much money left for me to buy those exclusive sets I was eying.
And now with the new mod coming Jan1st, I'm going to have to hold off until Jan 1st. (Also a good thing that the promo this go around is not a must have for me)

A-ma-zi-ng! Every time I think welp, missed the 2x points period, looks like I'll have to wait and finish my pick a brick list for next time and I don't do it, this happens again to tempt me. Whyyyyy Lego, I'd like to not be compelled to get plastic.

I like the ballerina and double points is like another 5% off your order. I don't know what others do but I like to keep a single large purchase around for cases like this. 10332 should do the trick!

Anybody knows when 40702 will arrive? I had hoped that these would overlap…

Did exactly the same. I was surprised there was actually a discount on that set. God knows when I will receive it though - with the postal workers on strike...

I, too, was quite surprised at the discount. I had heard nothing about it prior to seeing it on the site this morning.

In other related news, I just talked to Lego CS about my early Oct PaB order. Good news - I will get my Nazgûl torsos and Rebel Trooper dual-molded boots. Bad news - they have no idea when.

Apparently, the Danish PaB fulfillment warehouse just went through a large renovation in Nov, and they are plodding their way through the back orders.

We'll need a Christmas Miracle!!

Same! I have a parts order that is seriously behind at Lego (couple of Gorillas, which are now sold out and a few other titbits.) I don't mind the delivery time though, those are for me and can arrive whenever.

I'd love the Orient Express at 20% off and double VIP. I actually watched Jang's review of it (again) yesterday.

Has anyone noticed that Lego.com has gone back to discount codes instead of the (much better) using of points directly at checkout? At least in the UK... I hope it's just a temporary issue, and not permanent...
