Really wish the vases to display these types of entries were LEGO built.

By in United States,

nice to see some bouquets at a smaller price point.

this has been said before, but I would really love some official vases that are designed to optimize the bouquets for display. It can be extremely finicky to get them to present optimally in standard vases, particularly if there is a weight imbalance like in some of the larger blooms in this year's pink bouquet

By in Portugal,

The new bell shaped piece is a recolor of Z-blob from the dreams theme, very clever

By in United States,

Nice!

The light blue bell-shaped flowers are the new mold for Z-blob in Dreamzzz, which has already appeared in white in another Botanicals set.

That or if LEGO sold branded vases, I think that would be neat just to keep it all consistent! Not that I mind utilizing any other vase, but would be cool! I imagine the cost of making something like that wouldn't be worth it to LEGO though, though now that I think about it you could utilize a LEGO vase for real plant cuttings!

Omg, the botanical sets are ruining my economy.

Thanks, I did not recognise it, which is testament to a good re-use!

Oh man, imagine a nice glass vase with the LEGO logo embossed...

Gorgeous and affordable. Do want.

By in Poland,

I guess some people have extensive and colourful collections of Lego paddles.

A solution I was told about which works well is to 1/4 fill the vase with dry rice then poke the stems into it. Great for light 3D printed, opaque, vases.

By in United Kingdom,

We just need a weed extension pack to go in the range now that can be used with any set of flowers...

By in United States,

Very cute, but I think I'm done with collecting the "bouquet" sets. They're just not very much fun to build - "fiddly" is the watchword with every set I've constructed, largely because there isn't much to actually hold onto while assembling the flowerheads. Especially for someone with large hands like myself, it's just too fussy and not fun.

The best Botanicals IMO are any with a brickbuilt base or pot. While at times it feels almost absurd to be building a FLOWERPOT in LEGO, once you're actually done building it it somehow just feels GOOD. The Chinese Gentlemen quartet and the OG Orchid all really stand out in this regard.

By in United States,

If there were ever official LEGO vases, I hope they'd be sold separately from the flowers' set as I would much rather use my own—and not have to pay even more per set. It's pretty easy to go to a secondhand shop and find a vase that will work well for these.

Vase discourse aside, I love the smaller size of this set. The use of the curved rod in green is delightful!

Is it pronounced "vahze" or "vayse"?

Yes.

I think this looks solid, but yes it is quite petite. I might need 2 just to flesh out a whole bouquet.

I see what you did there @CapnRex101, and I like it.

Good-looking set too, although this theme is not for me.

Nice as these new botanicals are and with some great NPU, I really wish they'd do more entire plants then just flowers.

Could lead into an interesting spin off series if Lego did its own range of vases... Lego Historical perhaps? Greek and Roman vases, Ming pots, recreations of Tiffany glassware just to name a couple of ideas.

Sounds like a problem Lego had around 2000 with many licensed non-Lego products that nearly bankrupt them. I feel like, I don't know, Lego fans could get creative?

I'm not but i wonder if anyone is thinking the opposite of re-using parts.... using them as they were originally. Pink paddles for a Friends raft?

Smooth rocks/marbles/"sea glass" also work well.

You need to dream bigger. 22 pink paddles calls for a Friends War Galley.

Honestly not that interesting compared to other sets in the theme.

Much better idea than rice since bugs can live and hatch in rice. The idea of leaving rice in a vase with Lego tucked in makes my skin crawl. I've had luck arranging the loose Botanicals flowers in an asymmetrical U shaped vase from Ikea, no anchor material needed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Nice set, like that it's affordable. New pale yellow color for the three-leaf piece, I believe. Not to mention the angled bar piece in green.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those sun flower paddle wheels are just the worst to keep straight.

I used the round 1x1 plates in trans blue. Keep the flowers watered and all.

Nice to see Botanicals at a cheaper price point. Those Hyacinthoides are a cute build

As for the new set, I love it, but I do feel that botanicals are repeating a lot of the same flowers.

Don't get me wrong, it's still my favourite theme, but it could do with a fresh injection of different types of plants and flowers."

(edit THANK YOU. that was the one I was looking for.)
if you know? £34.99 is (manufacture price?) shopping at the second :)

I saw a clear square one that was released over seas? not sure if was a GWP... made by Lego.
unfortunately I can not seem to find anyone selling them. aftermarket resell.

same price half pieces
$60 ones have double pieces as this one.

By in United States,

maybe just for sets... How Lego would stop doing things exclusively for only few countries....

But that LEGO Botanicals 109865 LEGO Flower Vase £34.99
Don't think we got that for the U.S.

I know the mugs ect are a bit high in price I'm just not enthused about paying $15 get it shipped here.. It's real nice but......... $55?. Might just loose out on that and stick with my $1 dollar store vases. Am so tempted. I do like but at that price... not sure I can do it :`(

If anyone knows of a U.S. retailer I would be interested to know... or Find it on sale.

They were a gift with purchase in New Zealand through the certified stores. No corresponding offer on Lego.com though. (Usually they run the same GWP promotions.) It was a bit of a stealth offer too.

By in United States,

Given the large number of flower types and colors available across the Botanicals range, one of the fun things to do with them is vary the arrangements in the same way one would when using real flowers from one's garden or the florist!

Yes, one of these days I'll get around to doing that....

By in Spain,

Qué horror!. Ese nuevo y enorme punto de inyección en el molde de la hoja de palmera. Nada que ver a las hojas de palmeras de los juegos de los años 90 en lego paradisa o juegos como 6376 o 725 por ejemplo...

That would be a really good theme, I'd enjoy having a few historical vases.

Wedgewood would be good, Lalique too.

Theme practically builds itself with the huge range they could choose from. Plus, can see it being popular with collectors and MOC builders if they went with glass designs as It'd be a good place to introduce a ton of new trans bricks.

Toooooooo dangerous for kids.

By in United Kingdom,

Doesn't look very "sunny" to me - palette seems too muted for that.

Don't really see the appeal in the colours chosen, but I'm happy for those that do like it.
