Cool set. Creator continues to deliver some nice animal builds.

By in New Zealand,

Truly majestic. Yet another great animal set from Creator.

By in Canada,

Very nice - as most recent Creator animal sets are. But I am not quite sure if 'majestic' applies to all and every animals. Maybe 'imposing' would be more fitting for the rhino...

Anyhow, I will most likely get this late in the year when it gets on sale.

By in Turkey,

Nice form. Somehow I liked hipo more. And that walrus seems missing couple of pieces...

By in Netherlands,

Missing an Ace Ventura minifig!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Ah yes, the majestic Rhinopotarus in all its natural splendor.

By in United States,

When I was a kid and my dad saw me building star wars sets, he'd always comment about how there were too many wedges or curves and it was too contoured to look like Lego.

That just happened to me.

By in Australia,

Finally, an AT-AT that looks interesting!

Gravatar
By in Albania,

Looks great, but does it have a pink flower?

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

Despite the quality of the set, I doubt that it'll sell well — rhinos and hyppos are not that appealing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This one is just okay compared to the Giraffe.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Compared to earlier animals, this one looks a bit rough. All three of the builds actually. It probably also doesn't help that it's just all grey, no way to hide any less optimal bits.

By in Spain,

And yet, we can't have the horse 010423

Gravatar
By in United States,

I already have 71719 and 76099. But, I don't have a hippo or walrus. Hmm... The collection inflation has to stop somewhere. :(

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I rather like this, as a less obvious animal choice. Fortunately I'm not so keen on the 2 alternative builds so I'll only buy one, rather than 3 as with some other 3-in-1 sets!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That hippo looks fantastic, doubly so for a secondary model.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The 3 piece snail is brilliant!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

LBG-galore! I see a NCS moonscape already in that hippo ;)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The rhino build should have included a small campfire for it to stomp out rather than the cluster of plants. :)

Also the mini snail in the rhino build is the real star of this set!

By in Germany,

Love the birds on the rhino‘s back!

Maybe not to you, but not everyone shares your tastes.

Do you have 71420?

My sister was hippo obsessed growing up. (Still is as an adult, to a lesser degree.) Children can find things appealing that adults might turn up there nose at: - hippos, garbage trucks, dinosaurs, trains, castles, etc... and these things can stick with people as adults and be passed down to their children, thus starting a generational bond. So don't turn your nose up at something you don't understand / appreciate - try instead to have that childlike wonder and look at it through a kid's eyes. LEGO is after all a children's toy!

Zou het niet handig zijn als we allemaal dezelfde taal zouden gebruiken hier?

We need a highly detailed hippo baby Fiona.

Yes, this set would make a great Christmas gift, but the recipient would need to only build the B model.

By in United States,

Having formerly taken care of Rhinos as well as Nile and Pygmy hippos, I would normally be all over this. I just think the builds aren't that impressive, especially compared to the recent spectacular Giraffe (x3!), Peacock, Panda, etc.

But garbage trucks, dinosaurs, trains and castles are obviously exciting and interesting...

Despite its size, the hippopotamus is one of the fastest land animals. It can reach a sustained gallop of 30km/h, and sprints of up to 40km/h.

It's also one of the deadliest land animals, responsible for some 500 human kills each year. They can use their speed and bulk to simply bowl into their enemies or trample them to death - which they will - but they can also use their teeth to gore their enemies.

For a more defensive weapon, a hippo can use its staggeringly horrible breath to stun assailants. The chance of any attacker getting through its skin, which makes up for roughly a fifth of its entire weight, is already slim - but a hippo can just knock the fight out of the attacker with its rancid breath. It can hold that breath for up to five minutes underwater, making it deceptively stealthy.

All of this combines into a stealthy battletank that could out-sprint Usain Bolt, and knock him flat with a belch before stomping him into soup.

I dunno, man. What's your country's favourite animal again? The bear? I'll take those odds.

By in Netherlands,

I think they've done a great job with the rhino and hippo at this scale! The walrus not as much, but I reckon it's a pretty hard one to get right.

Of the ones that I own, my favourites are the three I have on display: the giraffe from 31150, the ara macaw from 31136 and the cockatoo from 31133.

I prefer realism, but I've had 31125 and 31128 out for quite a while as well. That owl and turtle are so cute!

The 3-in-1 animal sets at the top of my wish list would be 31129 Tiger, 31154 Red Fox and 31165 Panda.
