Random minifig of the day: fort017

Posted by ,

Today's random minifigure is fort017 Mecha Team Leader, a Fortnite figure that came in one set, 77078 Mecha Team Leader, released during 2025.

Our members collectively own a total of 143 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $101.20.

$101 already?!

Now is this the quickest RMotD turn around? I know there was on that was quick, but this is under two months which is pretty fast.

Quick, shatter the helmet so you can recreate the scene from the Eminem concert last year where he's fighting Mecha Team Leader and another Eminem is behind the mask!

By in Netherlands,

Yeah, no.

By in Finland,

The only time the only minifigure in a set is called the same as the set that it comes in?

By in Hungary,

It looks like a Voltron kinda figure.
Oh, I clicked on the link for the set, and it is...

By in United Kingdom,

The dual molded legs are cool, just not sure what the team leader has stepped on? Oh from the full Mech they are meant to be a tomato and burger.

No. 75398 10225 75371 and no doubt others."

I was just about to say, especially considering that 10225 was RSotD just three days ago.

I knew you'd have the answer for that question."

I did not have that answer. But I did keep the tab open in my browser. Fastest to repeat is three days, BTW, but we never did establish fastest from release to second appearance.

Um Aktchually, the character is named "Nick Bluetooth" and the polybag is just called "Nick".

That isn't a minifigure by anybody's definition. And even if it was, saying "This minifig has the same name as the set it comes in" doesn't really count if the minifigure *is* the set.

I knew you kept tabs open for things like that, so I guess it's less "I knew you'd know that" and more "I knew you'd have that information ready to hand."

I avoided any single figure polybags, paper bags, CMFs, etc as those are too easy. There are TC-4, TC-14, DJ, Darth Vader, ... before we even leave Star Wars. The magazine foil and paper bags have loads.

75278 and 75335 would like consideration. Which reminds me… 75335 should have had a MUCH longer release window.

By in United States,

It's a fun figure. I've never played the game and I will never spend that much on a figure, so I'll never acquire this one. But it looks fun.
