Disney Advent Calendar - Day 6

Posted by ,

I think we hit peak cuteness for this calendar with yesterday's entry, with Sven found behind the door. We now have three characters that can be used for the board game.

Sven came with a harness, so I suspect we'll find something to attach the harness to sometime in the next few days.

Well, that didn't take long! Today we have a sleigh that can fit Elsa and Olaf (or other characters to arrive later). I like the gold pieces used for the runners.

Of course, the sleigh fits quite well with Sven's harness, though that sleigh looks a little large for poor Sven. It's a good thing the sleigh will be on snow, or I can't see how he could possibly pull it!

The set description mentions this build as "Olaf's sleigh" which only makes sense if this calendar is based on Olaf's Frozen Adventure. I think this confirms that all the builds in this calendar will have some connection to that short film.

... I genuinely can't think of a way to make this sinister. It's so cute!

Mush!!

Before the fowl penguin fixes you with his eye.

Edit: better than a plain 'space' barber chair.

Heavy load.

There's more space on that sleigh than in most ,Lego starships.

Forget the starships. Replace that 2x4 jumper tile with a regular 2x4 and you've got room to comfortably fit two people, which is more than most Lego cars these days.

The bottom of the sleigh was white before Dreadflipper rode it roughshod over the soon-to-be corpses of his enemies.

It looks like 71046-10 has latched onto Sven, and is in the middle of devouring him.

@Zordboy, this is on you. I don't know why you ask these things of us, you know you'll get answers you don't want.

I want to say, I take it back, I take it back!

But, actually, I'm kind of enjoying the creativity.

(it does kind of look like he's currently being eaten by an alien beetle, doesn't it?)

You can even go further. Attach a person each to the runners, and you’ve got essentially the same amount of people that can fit in 11371

Speaking of Space, gotta love it that those pieces used for the runners are still around almost half a century after they were used as lasers, sensors or whatever in Classic Space ships.

Gotta be one of the most versatile special pieces in LEGO history.

Pew, pew
:-)

That's a weird droid to hold the organic lawnmower. I wonder if we're still missing its components? It looks rather flattened...

Even if you consider that the bars weren't originally set below the plate, but were even with it (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3839a&idColor=9T=C), the newer version was introduced soon enough that it's still been around for just as long. According to Bricklink, they were both introduced in 1978.
