Friends Advent Calendar - Day 1

Happy December! For the tenth (tenth? TENTH? how can that be?) time, I have the great fortune of sharing the Friends calendar with you this year! There's been quite a range of topics in Friends calendars over the years. This year is the third calendar with the new cast - the first one had two of the Friends with all the pets, and last year was a heartwarming scene with Olly, Paisley, and Paisley's family.
Let's see what kind of scene we'll build this year!
The box art shows several of the Friends getting together for a holiday sleepover. Flipping down the placeman shows a mostly indoor scene - likely the place where the Friends are going to camp out. I'm surprised that there's an outdoor section on the mat, so maybe there will be some outdoor activities for the Friends.
Without further delay, let's take a look behind the first door.
I think there must be an unwritten rule somewhere that a minidoll (or minifig for other calendars) has to be behind the first door. This calendar is no exception - today we meet Aliya. She's wearing holiday-themed pyjamas. At least her top is holiday themed; it has a snowflake pattern with a present on one side.
Like with the Disney calendar, the minidoll is not alone. There's also a bed to build behind today's door. It's nice to have something to build in addition to a minidoll.
A promising start to the calendar!

A sleeping bag ... or a sled with an in-built pillow, for when you still want to go sledding, but it's been a long day and you're tired.

If that's the case, then what's behind Door One of the Star Wars calendar is one of two options. Anyway, I wonder how much adjusting of colors in the software of your choice you'd have to do to make that picture red and green, instead pink and lime.

Yep, to make it look good on the first day before multiple days of not particularly good builds that you would be disappointed with if found on day 1.

Yet, perhaps your fingers would remember their old strength better... if they grasped your sword.
There is something about these mini dolls, they are so cute. I loved the lime green outfit.
