Friends Advent Calendar - Day 20
Posted by MeganL,Yesterday's karaoke machine is guaranteed to get the party started, and keep the Friends singing until the wee hours of the morning. I expect today that we'll meet another Friends pet.
It's Friends' other favourite pet, Pickle! Like the other pets, this is not a new version and does not have any holiday decorations.
However, at least Pickle gets a food dish, which is more than what we got for Churro. So while it is an extra build, it's not particularly festive, nor something we haven't seen before.

That's not a sad dog! (Australian pub bloke then shows you what a dog can look like and still barely count life as a decidedly mixed blessing).
Liann: "Guys, we've got a problem - we don't have anyone to play Tiny Tim for this year's production of 'Scrooge'."
Nova: "Hold my Guble Bubble."
We can (re)build him. We have the parts (again)
I was going to say that it was a shame that they didn't mold the harness in green and give him red wheels, or the other way around, but upon checking, that would require the designer to burn two "frames," as the wheel piece hasn't been molded in any red color, and the closest to the right green it's been molded in is Bright Green/Bright Green (hey, Lego and Bricklink use the same name!), rather than the more fitting Dark Green/Green.
The problem with getting so many of these is that it makes it look like there is some dog-hating psychopath in Heartlake that keeps maiming the back legs of dachshunds. Is it the same person that cuts off the left arm of the girls? Diversity is one thing, but so many repetitions makes it look like something sinister (literally in Autumn's case) is going on if you want to use the character parts from different sets together.

Strapping antlers on the dog makes sense, but I don't think pet owners are likely to go buy a second harness just to have it be seasonally appropriate.

Now, now. Let's not get too crazy here. We know that Autumn just has a rare congenital defect, leading to a limb difference. This doesn't hold her back, if anything, the 3.18 bar-connection on her arm means she can wield a staggering variety of arm-mounted weaponry, like Ash Williams and Mega Man before her. Autumn is awesome.
She should probably use those arm-mounted weapons to take on HLC's mysterious dogmasher, because -that- part is definitely real. Who could it be? Who could it possibly be?! The only hint we have is that it's Nova.

How is it all that different from holiday-themed pet sweaters, though?

Well, for one thing, nobody goes on unhinged rants about pet sweaters.

I'll give you that.

Have you not met pet owners???
And/or those loonies that put up their Christmas decorations the day after Halloween?
I would take the bet all day long that there are dog harnesses replete with sleigh bells just for "the season" out there.
I've probably wasted dollars, tens of them even on seasonally themed cat toys . . . that my cat has between marginal and absolutely no interest in. And swapping out the seasonal cat toy clutter is the closest I come to decorating for any holiday. I can't imagine what pet owners who actually care about the holidays do. o.O
Yay, justice for the doggo.
