Minecraft Advent Calendar - Day 5
Posted by TheBrickPal,Yesterday's Creeper and bush were very good additions to this Advent Calendar's contents so far, and I am really hoping that everything will be of consistent quality going forward.
Will today's gift satisfy?
The answer is yes!
LEGO Minecraft had its start in 2012 with a single microscale set, 21102 Minecraft Micro World - The Forest. Several sets in this style have been released since then, including last year's 21265 The Crafting Table and the upcoming 21589 Mini Biomes. That style makes its Advent Calendar debut here, and I think we can expect to see more of it in the coming days!
Steve is included here, with the same face that his microscale version has been using recently. I like his new shirt, represented by a dark green 1x1 plate. Quite festive! Spares of each piece mean that you can make a second Steve out of the parts in this set, as well.
The snowy taiga biome theming continues into this microscale scene, with a spruce tree, water, and some ice blocks. I think it looks rather nice, and I can't wait to see how this mini environment may expand later.
Overall - 4.0 - The calendar tries something totally different on Day 5, and it pays off!

How can they make a tree that much smaller and yet ten times better?
Timber!!
Watch out, tiny flat Steve.
I didn't even realize it had the mini Steve until I noticed the tan plate and saw that it had side printing.

He’s about to be even flatter soon, just you wait.
Why is Steve in Dark Green? I mean, sure it’s “festive.” No it’s not, it’d be regular green for that. Something strange is afoot.
Man, Ant-Man and Groot have seen better days.
Brother, who is building these models? You gotta turn those injection marks to the back!
Someone stepped on steve!!!
*In tiny Bowser voice*
"I....am Steve."
That mould mark looks like he's been shot.
This looks so good.
Would have been nice if this calendar was either minifig scale or micro scale - this along with the odd builds like the tree were the reason for going City this year
There are Minecraft command parameters that can change the size of any entity in-game.
I'd like to think this build is one of those.
