In Europe, the minifigure-scale Minecraft sets are now available at shop.LEGO.com. In the UK, the prices are:

Order them here: UK | Germany | France, or if you're in the UK, and you want them today, reserve and collect at Argos.

Sorry but in USA and Canada you'll need to wait until the middle of the month before you can get your hands on them.

By in United Kingdom,

A bit pricey for what they are. I think I'll pass. Hopefully Minecraft sets next year won't cost too much. But for now, I'll save for next year. ;-)

EDIT: @Huw: Thanks for changing that price!

By in Germany,

Will not buy. The price per piece is too high for sets that consist mainly of standard bricks. I can buy some amazing sets for 100 euros, why should I buy "The mine" then?

Is anyone else in the UK struggling to even begin checkout on LEGO.com? I click "checkout" in the shopping bag but it takes me to a "page not found". Seriously, you can't find the standard page that lets you check out? I really hope it isn't just me, but I tried doing everything, including clearing my cache, and it still does it, so it's definitely a website problem.

Sorry LEGO, you're a bit useless as of late :-(

EDIT: Never mind, finally got it to work...

^ Yes, happened to me too earlier. Not very good is it..

^ Glad to know it wasn't just me then! Seems like the arrival of new products also coincides with the arrival of a new and frustrating bug lately. I nearly gave up on LEGO.com, then it suddenly decided to work...

I've never known a shopping site that doesn't want to take your order and money so much :-P

EDIT: Also a little disappointed that there isn't a freebie this month (again). I really hope Black Friday has something to offer that I simply can't refuse...

By in United States,

Expensive, but not shocking because of the new molds and license. I'll be passing though.

And maybe now people will shut up about the USA getting everything first, when it's not true at all, proven right here. But I doubt that.

Not too happy with the additional $10 for the Mine... :(

not good Lego Sets to spend my money on so will not be getting them. Why make Legos of Minecraft . . . . for money I know . . .

I've seen a bunch of the new minecraft sets at toysrus stores in the US. If that's useful to anyone.

Seriously, LEGO? Not until November 15 when everywhere else gets them on the 1st, and most toy retailers here already have them!

I'm not going to take this from LEGO. The Shop @Home site is so incompetently managed. Examples: Page not found on the first of every month, not releasing sets in certain areas where you can get them everywhere else, listing discontinued products as 'New', not releasing sets on the official release date, giving out promos to a very exclusive set of people, not shipping to some countries in Europe... my list of complaints goes on.

Just because they are the number one toy company in the world doesn't mean they can get away with this...

By in United States,

I was only planning on picking up the smaller three of the theme, but the crafting box looks like one I may pick up too. Likely a 'no' to the The Ender Dragon and The Mine is overpriced in my opinion.

PicnicBasketSam - that is precisely why they can/will get away with it. Plenty of people will continue to buy their product even though their quality has gone downhill and originality is out the door.

Plus, lots of people don't even use LEGO.com, so I'm sure they are working on it, but not at the speed we need.

I've definitely bought less LEGO over the last year than I did in the previous 3 years combined...if that says anything.

I don't think it says what you think it does...

@Jantjeuh, a very nice and detailed review!

@AlphaMoonWolf: because kids who love the game and like Lego will also want to buy the sets, just like if there was a lego texture pack in the game they would want that. It's really the best of both worlds.
