Three outta four 2016 sets. Honestly, really makes me appreciate that year!

One of very few Batman related sets I own. It was a gift. I'm really not sure what to make of it. The figs are neat, but that's about it. It feels very specific, which is probably to be expected given that it's Ra's al Ghul, and while Batman is pretty flexible in that he kind of works everywhere and anywhere, he's probably best used when confined to a city setting.

I regret not getting this one. How many Lego sets contain a brick-built representation of something meant to bring people back from the dead?

I loved this set. The dune buggy was so fun to race around like a maniac. Although the set was a bit fragile (for the breakout features).

OK, I don't have the foggiest clue what this is about. The only thing I can think of, is that it must be some bizarre DC/Marvel/LOTR crossover with Batman fighting Doctor Strange's evil twin brother (and his daughter)s at Dol Guldur over who gets to use the Radioactive Slime Pit of Youth.

I guess Talia manages to seduce Robin for just long enough to shove him into that jail cell, and while Batman is busy getting him out, Evil Doctor Strange sees his chance to get first dip. But while this does make him younger, it also makes him even evil-er, complete with Sith Eyes(TM).

And we still don't have Nolanverse versions of Ra's or Talia.

I feel one of the scimitar pieces from Orient Expedition might have been a better choice for the sort of sword Ra’s normally wields, I’m guessing the mould for that was long gone

Having seen Batman the Animated Series, this is remarkably close to accurate minus Talia seducing Robin (who is 1 a minor and 2 her son) and Evil Dr Strange's name. Talia indeed is his daughter and the lazarus pits temporarily turn you insane and evil(er).

Uh…Talia happens to be that Robin’s MOM.

This set reminds me of 79004. Ra's and Talia are nice, but stillsuit Batman is pretty silly. I guess a shirtless swordfighting variant was out of the question.

It was still in use for the terracotta warrior Ninjago wave a few years before, but it could have been dropped by this point.

Now I'm picturing Celebrity Family Feud in the DC universe.

Pretty sure this is the only time we got both Ra’s and Talia Al Guhl as minifigures.

Let that sink in.

One of my favorite DC sets I own. I love all the minfigs in this set. Just perfect , especially for Ra’s and Talia. The dune buggy is fun and very appropriate and overall the set is nice. A great beginning to make a villain’s lair for the Demon’s Head.

I used that scimitar for Ubu, as the character did wield one that looks that oversized in B:TAS, but for Ra’s and shirtless Batman (it’s part of an episode, and easy to figbash these days, plus I had extra Batman parts lying around), I gave them standard sabres, which is more accurate to what they were using. There’s also another sword that has a wider tip, but not so ridiculously oversized as the OE sword, which probably matches the comics better.

The biggest issue is that the Lazarus Pit does not rejuvenate you or give you eternal youth. It only resurrects your corpse. If you jump in while still alive, Bad Things happen. And it doesn’t make you evil. It makes you insane. While in that state, you are not really in control of your actions, but behave in a rather animalistic manner until you can regain your senses.

It is, but I’ve made three different versions of Ra’s and one Talia, based on their appearances in B:TAS.

That Lazarus Pit has a good six pack going. Must do a lot of sit-ups with the technic pins.

71013-2 Desert Warrior used a similar sword also in 2016.

This is a god tier playset. A big enough structure build to add lots of play value, a classic Batman vehicle, and excellent minifigures. I miss getting unique Batman suits, it’s been years since we saw Batman minifigures specialized for different environments or villains.

Funny thing about that Batsuit is I never have a use for it during the non-Christmas season, so I ended up permanently adding it to my TLBM Crazy Batsuit assortment. I took every non-standard Batsuit from the TLBM sets, plus made a few more based on what’s seen on-screen (at least two of the official ones never appear in the movie, BTW), and I put them out every holiday season on our massive Henry Ford Museum display, as something for kids to search for (with 30+ Batsuits hidden on a 60’+ display, it takes a while to hunt them all down). And this happens to be one of a few pre-TLBM minifigs that got added to the Batsuit rack in the movie. Offhand, the 2011 SDCC minifig is the only other one I know of.

Although, and to be fair: My 'Peak' was 2018, I mean really; we got: OMAC, Firestorm, Lobo...I now TLG doesn't TRY, barely 'phoning it in' (via a 'Batphone' at that...)...:|
