LEGO has posted a video revealing 77984 Jurassic Park Jeep Wrangler on Instagram, showcasing the set in a recreation of Dennis Nedry's ill-fated escape from the park!

The set contains 1924 pieces and comes with the signpost to the East Dock from the movie, plus a working winch and plenty of detail, it seems.

Watch the video below...

You might also notice an interesting image on the signpost at the beginning of the video, with a Triceratops skeleton in the style of 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex.

What do you think of the set, given what has been shown so far? Let us know in the comments.

By in United States,

I hope we get more pictures of this soon. It looks like a great companion to the 10317 Land Rover Defender. Do you think this one has suspension like that one does?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

And they tease the upcoming large Triceratops skeleton too.

By in United States,

Hold onto your butts!

By in United States,

My dad is a massive Jeep fan and he has an eco diesel, I am 100% buying this. The jeep used in the ad is the wrong jeep though. It doesn't have square headlights.

By in Canada,

Darn, I'm almost done buying the sets from previous years before they expire. I was looking at my want list from 2026 and they were all "small-ish" sets from City - I (i.e. my wallet) was happy. But then, yesterday we got the Tintin rocket and now we get this. And there are quite a few more sets not announced yet. Once again 2026 will be hard on the wallet.

We now need a scaled-up Dennis Nedry and a dilophosaurus.

(are they using walkie-talkie as wipers?)

Gravatar
By in United States,

But they didn’t put the hero of the movie in this set. Where’s the Dilophosaurus?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very cool! Loved the promotional video, too.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Looks like it can be built into 3 different movie versions, customized with lots of stickers (wouldn't be LEGO) and includes a printed display plaque and Dennis Nedry minifigure with yellow hood.

By in United States,

I predict we get the Ford Explorer from the movie in the next year or two.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks great! Though I want the Explorer more, my hope is this is the gateway to getting that made into a set!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't usually go for the larger car models, but this looks excellent. Great promo video too.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The real question is will this vehicle fit 3220?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

No Dennis Nedri Minifig or Spitter?

I still like it though

Some other vids from media days show it with a Nedry fig. See the above link in the replies.

By in United States,

I'm not sure about this one yet

Something seems off about it. Not sure how big a rush I'll be to get it, if get it at all

Gravatar
By in United States,

Imma bout to cause some problems...
That movie is about the only saving grace for those square headlight-ed abominations.

We got the one from the 30th Anniversary sets a couple of years ago!! It is set 76958!!

By in United States,

Nice catch on that Triceratops Easter Egg. I'm sure that is coming soon! I used to have these wooden skeletons of dinosaurs when I was a kid in the mid-80s you had to put them together yourself and they would slot together. I absolutely loved them and would find them at the local toy shops or science museums. Brings back great memories!

Well, the Dilophosaurus at least.

"(are they using walkie-talkie as wipers?)"

I’m thinking those are HP wands.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Ooof, they might have me on this one. Looks great, and I really enjoyed the build experiences on the Ford Mustang and Fiat. The big cars are fun to build.

It looks like wand pieces in the end of a bar with clip

Yeah, I had a couple of those, too! Lots of fun.

I bet no suspension, doesn't look like there's much room for travel under those fenders.

I've got it, it is good.

By in Belgium,

John (Not-the-Blithering-Idiot) Hammond: "Dennis… our lives are in your hands, and you have butterfingers?"

While googling the quote, I came across this rather unsettling version of Nedry from an alternate universe (I guess): https://www.reddit.com/r/JurassicMemes/comments/1jm9amv/i_dont_remember_nedry_looking_like_this/

I guess Seinfeld will be mad about the fact that there's one more minifigure of his archnemesis out there: "NEWMAN!"

The model looks really nice; it's just a shame they didn't hire Wayne Knight so he'd reprise his iconic role — after all, there's a fan theory floating around that he didn't die… "Somehow, Nedry returned…"

Go get the stick first, and then it'll appear.

Does the direction arrow on the sign spin?

The Nedry minifig does come with a stick!! Xx

Gravatar
By in Faroe Islands,

It looks amazing and I would love to get my hands on this but I do wish that they had made the 1992 Ford Explorer XLT instead because in my eyes it looked way better and was way more iconic hopefully they can release that one next year not to mention LEGO really needs to make UCS version of the Mobile Command Center from The Lost World: Jurassic Park also I really hope that they included the Barbasol can

Set 76960, while a side build of a dinosaur-in-a-box, had a really well done model. I'd love to combine the canopy of 76958, but I skipped out on the latter set

I didn't intend to get 76960, but I found it on clearance at my local Walmart, and I'm glad I did. As you said, It's really well done.

Tastes differ (sometimes widely)."

A fact that some people here just can't wrap their mind around. Seriously, if I had a dollar for every comment here saying that a set (or other piece of Lego merchandise) is stupid and no one could ever want it, I'd be able to afford a lot more Lego!

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

I think the main question is: is it in same scale as T.rex and Jurassic Park gate from set 75936?

I'd have bought the former, but I didn't want to pay the Brachiosaurus tax just for the Jeep. I did eventually get the latter, but had to pay a premium for a damaged box because it retired when I wasn't paying attention. I still don't own every set they came in, but I do finally have every version of the Dilophosaurus they've released.

Just so that you can say: "I’m gonna run you over when I come back down!" Or maybe "I’m gonna step over you when I come back down! But it'll hurt terribly…"
