The first wave of The Mandalorian and Grogu sets has only just been launched and perhaps the most interesting set from the movie so far has already been revealed, ahead of its release in August.

75451 Hutt Palace Sentry Droid Showdown is a 415-piece set, most notable for reintroducing the Kyuzo bounty hunter Embo in minifigure form, fifteen years after his appearance in 7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship! However, he is not alone this time, joined by his pet Anooba, Keibu, as well as The Mandalorian and Grogu.

Embo was also accompanied by an Anooba in the Clone Wars, named Marrok. I would never have expected to see them as LEGO figures, but Keibu looks fantastic to me. The sentry droid looks good too, with lots of mechanical detail.

More images are available after the break...

We do not have confirmed prices at the moment, but this set is expected to cost £44.99, $49.99 or €49.99.

The coloration of the sentry droid is oddly reminiscent of Boba Fett.

Cool door. They forgot to put the head on the Boba mech.

I'm assuming it's this messy in the movie (or concept art, at least) but man, that is one ugly and incoherent thing to choose for a set. Sad having Embo and Keibu locked in this, but hopefully someone on Rebrickable will turn this pile of bricks into something worthwhile.

Honestly the build is kind of diassapointing, looks nothing like the Droid seen in the trailer, I was looking foward to this set because if how cool it looked in the trailer. It looks like an alternative build of 75369.

At least we got a new Embo and a new mould for his pet. They both look great.

It's in one of the trailers and it looks pretty weird in that too

Another meh-ch. Not for me.

Nice, new pet mold! They can use it for Ghost in Game of Thrones set!

Embo and Keibu look great. The mech looks decent compared to the trailer, at least for the part count. I like the symbol on the door. Depending on the price, maybe a yes maybe a no, but I like the set.

Do Hutt's guard their palaces? Maybe Book of Boba Fett isn't canon.

I may be in the minority here, but I actually think this set looks awesome! It's got great dystopian, post-apocalyptic vibes.

The mere thought of considering the possibility of mulling over the idea of doing GoT sets will never cross Lego's mind. That said, that *is* a cool mold.

And that CW episode where Maul just walks in?

They're guarded by their own hubris.

The Jedi temple never fell to that problem...

...oh, wait...

You’re assuming in both those cases that the intruders in question didn’t just murder their way through any array of guards which, given what we know of Fett and Maul, is maybe not the fairest assessment.

Then again Luke and friends don’t seem to have much trouble getting into Jabba’s palace over multiple phases in RotJ so maybe they really are that poorly defended and this is them finally learning

Proof that TLG's price conditioning is working: seeing $50 USD as the supposed price and thinking "Wow, I was expecting $60!"

Smyths (UK) have added 75456 (Advent Calendar) and 75451 (Hutt Palace Sentry Droid Showdown) onto their website if you want to see some better quality images. Both look quite decent and worth buying at a bit of a discount!

It's to go with the headless first order AT ST

And I came into this thinking it would be absurd if they priced it at $35-40

It’s $50.
That said, I’ll probably get this for Embo, Keibu and the new mould for Grogu and new legs for Mando. This set also has many of those new ball joint pieces.

By in United States,

Can't believe the poor takes of some of the earlier comments above for this set, because it does look good. I am excited for this one, as someone who must have missed the announcement and just saw it listed in the database today.

It's a big, hulking canon security droid mech with a cobbled together look, not a Lego-designed Darth Maul or Luke Skywalker mech (and those sets are fine in their own right). Contrary to one comment above, it does actually look like one of the two massive droids you see in the trailer. Plus, compared to how high the 'Star Wars tax' gets for some sets compared to the parts and content, I think this is a reasonable price for 415 pieces including three minifigs of opposing factions, plus a brand new Star Wars creature mold that can also be used for Clone Wars dioramas. A Lego anooba? Yes please!!

I think the content lends itself well to Lego overall.
