Knockturn Alley, East Wing, and Book Nook are all great. The builds and minifig selections are great, the prices not so much. The new basilisk build enabled by modern macaroni parts is so much better than any previous basilisk. The rest of the wave doesn't interest me.

I like that the new Forbidden Forest set is in the same style as the last few forest-themed sets, but I feel like I own four of that exact scene, already.

The herbology plants would look good alongside the rest of my botanicals.

Book nook, Norbit and the shield are the ones I'll get

Knockturn Alley, Easy Wing are great looking sets

No interest in any of these as sets, but I'm tempted to get the basilisk from 76473 on Bricklink after it releases. If Or its pieces show up on PaB, I might get the pieces there; I usually get at least one creature (whether real-world or not) every time I place an order. I also like the touch of the hidden Founder items in 76462. (That sword is something else I might get on Bricklink one of these days.)

Did Lego actually make a minifigure that’s bleeding!? What is going on!?

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

They keep making the same builds over and over, but they also get better each time.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

One day, all light-skinned female minifigures will be cursed with the Jyn Erso faceprint, and all light-skinned male ones with the Young Han Solo face. Attack of the Clones indeed.

The flying Phoenix mold is super cool.

By in United States,

At first I thought the book nook was part of the castle system and was surprised at how large and how much detail the designers were able to put into a small container. But honestly this might be the first book nook set I pick up. Obviously on discount though.

East Wing looks great! Hope they are not done making expansions!!

By in United States,

Was super excited for Knockturn Alley Wizarding Shops, but that price stateside is asinine. What are these prices---Lego Star Wars?

Gravatar
By in United States,

That East Wing is glorious. Atleast we get amazing boxes still with these non 18+.

Gravatar
By in United States,

And I called it that the Bloody Baron would be in the next wave's Hogwarts expansion.

Gravatar
By in United States,

HORRENDOUS prices. East wing looks super cool but should be 200 dollars.

By in Puerto Rico,

A new Basilisk.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

76469 looks like it could be reconfigured into a Mr. Boss MOC

Honestly, I'm quite positively impressed by how Lego has been handling this theme in recent years. The builds and minifigure selection are pretty fantastic. I've been expecting a Knockturn Alley set for quite a while now and they did not disappoint. The Borgin & Burkes shop looks great.

Harry Potter’s made good use of that Aspheera head mold. Would still like to see variants of her from when she has neither fire nor crystal powers.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

That Dobby somehow looks even more off-putting than the last one. The Crest and the plants seem quite cool, I can see the latter fitting in with some of the botanical sets I’ve got

Gravatar
By in United States,

Will we never be free of uncanny Dobbys?! :l

2,164 pieces + 13 minifigures + new crookshanks print + new fawkes + new doe patronus + what looks like a new basilisk head for $200. Lol.

Christ alive, maybe give some sort of trigger-warning before you spring Dobby on us. I thought we were done with that creepy monster, but I guess he wasn't quite done with us yet.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I only care about the doe piece and I don't want it in that colour

Based on Price per piece this could be justified at around 250, But looking at the set it just feels small for 270 dollars. Also I wouldn't base value of a set on the amount of new parts unless the set was mostly made of new parts rather than a few animals. I see your point though.

Dobby's an elf, and they're innately magical. He can apportate wherever he wants.

East Wing is way overpriced. The last Chamber of Secrets was half the price and had a great hall. So much wasted space within the castle. I feel like a lot of these "most detailed hogwats ever" sets are swinging and missing on actually executing on good, detailed castle interior. I think I would even prefer the 2021 chamber itself to this chamber.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Now that's how you do a booknook! Alas, the creator, so no money from me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m starting to see the Disney price creep show up in WB properties, which is sad…

That being said the east wing does look phenomenal, and this book nook is only the second one that I would want for the purpose of being a book nook (the first being the Sherlock Holmes one), it feels full and decorative and a great use of space and techniques

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like all of these, and may buy more than one. The new basilisk makes up to me for never having bought an earlier one.

crookshanks? I'm pretty sure she is Mrs Norris

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

I'm sick and tired of those stupid photos of kids building their sets with a tablet—Lego spams us with them in every set! WE WANT paper instructions—is that too hard to understand?

Gravatar
By in Philippines,

Hogwarts East Wing and Dumbledore’s Office book nook are definitely the best of the bunch.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The designs work really well. I'm torn on repeats again though. I don't need another Dobby (I haven't build the last one yet). And another Dementor attack...

I haven't been building the castle sections so likely don't need this one either. I'll look for a few figures online sometime.

And wait for sales of course thanks to how everything is.

By in Philippines,

I've just realized something....

The "leaked" draft / sketch of the East Wing slightly looks different than the official released images of LEGO.

In the sketch, there's an entrance to the Chamber of Secrets (the door with several snakes, as seen in the movies) and Lockhart's classroom. You can see an elevated platform where Lockhart introduces himself to his students. In the official model, this has been replaced by the corridor where Mrs. Norris was found petrified. The entrance to CoS is also nowhere to be found.

Kinda sad that they omitted these details. I know it was probably done to reduce the price, but such omissions are glaring, especially if they've been hyping these sets to make the most detailed Hogwarts Castle ever.

Indeed. The inserts --while they are a smart way of incorporating the smaller sections of the castle-- aren't doing justice to interiors of Hogwarts. Only the Potions and Charms classrooms were neatly executed. The rest just feel bland and uninspired.

And I agree: the 2021 Chamber of Secrets had a better and more convincing design for Slytherin's face. My only real issue with the sets from that wave was the overly blocky and open-sided layout of the castle.
