Megatron debuts in LEGO BrickHeadz form!
Posted by CapnRex101,Megatron has been conspicuous by his absence from the LEGO Transformers range to date, but he is finally arriving on June 1st, as a BrickHeadz figure!
The carefully-named 40924 Megatron Robot & Vehicle contains 224 pieces and will cost £19.99, $24.99 or €24.99.
Fans have discussed whether Megatron's alternate tank mode would prove problematic for a LEGO model and I think use of the term 'Megatron Vehicle' on the box suggests that it is an issue, although if a BrickHeadz set is possible, perhaps a large-scale transforming model is too! I certainly hope so.

40803 and 40804 were named the same way.
1.5 brickheadz for the price of 2.5, something ain't adding up here...
The headlight eyes worked for Bee and Prime but looking at Megs here, I can't help but see him hiding inside a tank costume, peeking his eyes out
Looks pretty good. Was really expecting a BrickHeadz Soundwave first though!
Hopefully this means we then get a soundwave brickheadz and a buildable megatron. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't get either though.
Well, the £19.99, $24.99 or €24.99 ain't that bad.
Bit worse when paying SEK, but getting fast to that free freight option atleast..
The closest we will ever come to a lego tank ;-;
Roll out the tank.
Wonder how hard it'll be to customize the alt mode into his -proper- form...
lol. He’s just “Megatron Vehicle.”
Could be a pickup truck, kids, you never know!
Doesn't Megatron transform into a gun?

A pickup truck, but what he’s picked up is guns!

the set names were, but the individual brickheadz were Optimus Prime Truck and Bumblebee Car. this one just says Megatron Vehicle. for obvious reasons

That's what I thought
I feel Decepticonned.
"Megatron, is that you?"

Originally, yes. But by G2, he transformed into a tank, and a lot more Megatron toys have transformed into tanks than guns.

"Here's a hint!"

He hasn't for decades now. Hasbro isn't going to sell a toy gun these days, so now Megatron turns into tanks, jets, helicopters, scifi spacehips. A bunch of stuff depending on the setting. Optimus Prime is pretty much always a truck, in comparison.
If they make a new "G1" Megatron toy, it'll be a tank, usually.
Oh lord that’s adorable.

I don't see anything you could use for his rotors!

He turned into a B2 once--that'd be a pretty cool alt-mode.

Animated, I take it? Represent.
Is Boba Fett's Vehicle next? ;)
I would love to see Lego do post G1 sets like Beast Wars.
This is okay to me. Yes we know Megatron's alt form is not accurate to his G1 pistol form but this is fine. It never really made sense for him to transform into a pistol to me. In that form he shrinks down to fit in the palm of Starscream or the other Seekers hands, I always thought that was strange he could downsize himself that much. Still holding out hope we get a full size Megatron, even if it doesn't have the transformation option like the rest of the current line.

I don't think it's that different than Soundwave shrinking down into a cassette player. Mass displacement/mass shifting has been a controversial feature of Cybertronian technology from the beginning and I say let chaos rein!
