Nova, that poor dog is going to drown. It has wheels, Nova. You gave it wheels, Nova. Your dog cannot swim with wheels, Nova. What's that? You want to enjoy your icecream in peace? Yes, you're right. Maybe that poor pup has suffered enough.

Interesting that Pickles does not appear in any sets following the Water Park set.

The Koala Habitat and the Fairy Teacup Ride sets are very cute. The Flower Shop is something I would be interested in.

The Creative Flower Shop is such a clever set idea... taking advantage of the wide variety of flower molds available now to make vases and bouquets where you can mix and match elements to your liking.

The Pizza Truck is extremely cute as well. Reminds me of my childhood 6350 (but in a modern twist the brick oven is part of a food truck instead of separate from the delivery van). I love Olly's outfit and the pizza box print!

And the Flower and Fairy Teacup Ride completes the trifecta of amusement park sets for this new wave. I love how the large flower is constructed.

An even grumpier Grumpy Cat! :D
3 different prints and 2 color variations for the new Friends Koalas. Man, I wish City would get this much love for their animals.

It came out in the first half of this year in 42689 but I'm glad to see it continuing to be used! After all, the theme's called "Friends"... what could be more emblematic of that ideal than riding a bike together?

Nice A cabin.

Unless that Pizza vehicle also fires whole pizzas at customers, I'm out.

By in Australia,

The koala set is interesting. So the Friends are having an Australian holiday?

I really like the Flower Shop, but the tea-party seems lovely and whimsical too.

By in Fiji,

Year of the Lego koala. Sure the Lego designers don't know much about them, but who cares, we get koalas!
Tasmanian devils and quokkas next please Lego.

Churro gets even grumpier if you put a hat on him. Also, love the mushroom seats in 42690.

Yeah, the designer seems to have forgotten something.

Riding separate bikes. I’m assuming you’ve never ridden a tandem in your life. My parents honeymooned on Mackinac Island nearly 60 years ago, and my dad still complains that their tandem bike ride involved my mom riding and my dad pedaling.

@Darth_Dee:
Online Pick-a-Brick. Pick and Build, to be more accurate, but nobody calls it that.

By in United States,

New branch element in the Koala set.

Also there might be an error in one of the Glamping Cabin's photos?
It shows two clear mug elements in the interior shot but one is treated as if it has a connection with a 1x1 strawberry tile on top and doesn't appear in any other photos.

Lego's never told kids to just balance a tile on top of the mugs before and the closest thing the mug has to a topside connection is the ability to loosely cup an upside down stud.

That pizza van seems very poorly designed. You park the van. Then you have to climb in the back to assemble the pizza from what we hope is refrigerated storage. Next, you climb out of the van (ideally without spilling the pizza on the ground). You swing a wood-fired pizza oven out from the back of the van, and have to extend a stabilizing leg. This is the tricky part. If the oven is not already running, you’ve got to light it and wait for it to warm up. Regardless, you have to wait for the pizza to cook, and that’s going to take at least five minutes per pizza (and the oven is only big enough to cook one at a time, so imagine trying to cover a birthday party). Once this is all done, you’ve then got to stow the now piping hot oven against the back of the van…where it’s likely going to be right next to whatever cold storage system the van is equipped with, making that work all the harder to keep stuff from spoiling. I don’t see how it could take less than a full hour per stop, so the per-pizza price is going to have to be astronomical if this venture is going to have any hope of generating any profit.

I was walking along the coast road path in north Dublin yesterday morning and was passed by a middle aged couple on a tandem, the lady in the rear seat. She had her feet on the pedals but you could see she wasn’t putting much if any effort in. Disgraceful behaviour. :)

If axolotls weren't, given how many people wanted them to be, then no.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The flower shop has so many brilliant flower builds. I can see myself buying it just to scavenge all the flower builds to replace the (far more unimaginative) flowers on my modulars. Shopping Street, Jazz Club, Assembly Square, and Tudor Corner could all benefit!

I remember that a different tandem bicycle piece appeared in "The LEGO Movie 2" (2019), but I don't know if it was in any physical sets at the time. A minifigure and minidoll version of Wonder Woman are shown riding it together.

And by "I remember" I actually mean "I coincidentally rewatched the relevant scene earlier today." I watch The LEGO Movies as frequently as some people watch "Kpop Demon Hunters."

It was not. I know I was making bicycle food carts before they released the food cart bicycle frame, but I've never even seen a custom tandem before this frame showed up recently.

Totally understandable. I watch some of them more than others (I've only watched TLNM once in the theater, and once on DVD, whereas I saw TLM six times in the theater and I don't know how many times since), but yeah.

This got me curious so I looked it up and apparently, yes! They can vary from light grey to brown (with populations further south tending to have darker, browner fur), so the two shades here seem to be good choices.
