Pre-order Shrek series CMFs

The Shrek series of collectable minifigures will be launched on September 1st, and it's likely that they will be very popular.
The best way to guarantee getting a full set as soon as possible is to place a pre-order with one of our preferred suppliers:
- In the UK, Brickabrac will sell you a set of 12 for £38.99 and a box of 36 for £99.99
- In the EU, Ireland-based Minifigure Maddness is selling 2 boxes of 36 figures for €223.99, a saving of over €65, when you use the code Shrek02 at checkout. Additionally, every 10th order will receive a €50 discount voucher redeemable against future orders.
- In the USA, Minifigures Plus has not yet listed them on its website so we'll update this article when it has

I've often pre-ordered complete CMFs from these guys. They're reliable, and they offer some pretty sweet deals.
That said - somehow, I don't think this particular CMF is going to fly off the shelves, and even if it does, I'm not going to lose any sleep passing this one up.
I'll be happy to pay the good folks at Minifigure Maddness another visit, via a Brickset-link, if the next CMF is less horrendous than the Shrek-line. And that seems like a low bar to clear.
I've ordered full sets from Brickabrac for a little while now and honestly, their prices astound me.
Bearing in mind that a single CMF in a shop will cost you £3.50, and they sell you a full set of 12 (no duplicates) for £38.99 - that's £3.24 each.

Most of my local department stores still have boxes and boxes of the animal costume series. Hell, my big local toy store still has boxes of the F1 car series that they can't seem to give away.
Shrek was a big pop culture moment, 20 years ago. I wonder how popular is it, really, today.

The IP probably still has a cult-following, and more power to its fans - I just think the CMF-line itself looks like unleaded nightmare-fuel. I imagine even the Homemaker-figures wake up screaming "THE SHREK COLLECTIBLE MINIFIGURES! THEY'RE REAL AND THEY'RE COMING!". Jack Stone sees this CMF, and thinks "I don't want anything to do with these". And even in the Outer Dimensions, on distant planet Galidor, some of the most unfortunately misshapen creatures in the galaxy are stocking up on crucifixes and holy water in preparation for this CMF.

No offence, but saying your 'not a shill', makes you sound incredibly shilly.
Its only really saving you all of £3 though (12 X £3.50 = £42.00), but than after shipping, unless you buy enough for the free shipping, its another £3.50... So technically, its costing you 50p more than going to your local store and getting them yourself. Which with the free apps which are 100% accurate, guess it only saves you depending on how you value your own time.
@Crux , @Zordboy: Gotta agree with you about thinking this CMF isn't going to fly off the shelves. First one for a while I don't think I'll be getting the full set of. And was the same with my local big store and the F1 series, they couldn't give them away.

So? What's the astounding thing? It's a saving of less than 10 percent (and with shipping it's no saving at all). The price the retailer has to pay is about 30 percent off on average, so their margins can't be too shabby.
Ooh I feel like that dragon's gonna be a popular standalone figure.

Unless you also count that F1 series. Then it's that one. But still pretty disappointed with these Shrek figs.
Yeah I don’t think it’s as bad as people are making it out. I don’t think they did as good as they could have at all, Shrek’s head is very deservedly mocked and Dragon, Gingy, and arguably even Puss should NOT be minifigures and should be smaller scale molds, but outside of Shrek and Dragon they all look very good and the other thing that makes me think it will sell better is just the reusability for a lot of the prints for both generic medieval/fantasy settings and obviously Gingy for Christmas stuff
