Helicarrier now available in Europe with free Winter Soldier minifig

Posted by ,
Winter Soldier

Order it today and, if you're in Europe or Australasia, receive a free 5002943 Winter Soldier as well as a 30312 Demolition Driller.

I haven't been told how long the WS will be available; it's probably until the end of the month, but I wouldn't deliberate too long given the Helicarrier is on back order already in North America until mid-March.

Please use these links to place your order and help keep Brickset online:

UK (£269.99) | Germany (€349.99) | France (€349.99) | USA ($349.99) | Canada ($399.99)

By in Poland,

Price in euro = price in $?
LEGO, could you sell me some euros?

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Are those EUR prices correct? It is EUR 329.99 on the Irish site.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

It is CHF459.00 here in Switzerland. That's EUR426 or US$486. So, stop complaining, folks :)
Luckily I have no interest whatsoever in this set...

^^ Yes

Hmm.
Helicarrier?
Domestic harmony?

Sorry Lego - not this time.

By in France,

Where does it say we'd get the Winter Soldier minifig? I'm not seeing any mention of it on LEGO.com

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

UK still overly expensive I see. Canada works out around £200. Even Europe is about £12 better than the UK at the moment. I think i'll give this one a miss at the current price (and I hardly ever say that for any LEGO set)

By in United Kingdom,

^^ Add the Helicarrier to your cart and it'll be added automatically.

Gravatar
By in France,

Uh, so it does. Weird that they make no mention of it up until that point.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^Damn, I hope Winter Solider can be obtained another way soon...

I guess they really want people to buy the Helicarrier, even though it got a mixed reaction. Is it really worth spending £270?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why don't we get the Winter Soldier figure in the United States?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I was trying to hold off until double VIP points, but this Winter Solider poly has sold it for me. Thanks for the heads up Huw.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Assumed Winter Soldier would be a 'free with purchase over £50' thing, so I'm a little surprised. Is there still any chance of that in the UK? I have no intention of buying the Helicarrier.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just ordered my copy ;)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Still not convinced - looks awesome putting it mildly but the likewise awesome price tag is a major put off. Will need to see one built first before deciding on whether to purchase one or not likewise one to get with a good amount of VIP points off.

By in United States,

I cant wait to move to Germany and be able to work the system that will allow me to buy things from both the EU and the US Lego Store... That will be nice.

It's only because I will be able to order things using APO for the states.

The fine print says the Winter Soldier is available in America at a later point in time. I assume it will be June like on that list of leaked D2C sets and month long promos.

According to that list the promo in North America would take an entire month and everyone will be eligible at the regular 75$ worth of items but it seems you HAVE to buy the Helicarrier in every other place to get him. Completely retarded, I planned on buying him with the Ghostbusters set.

Oh well, now I don´t really care anymore, it´s just black plastic and a silver arm. They couldn´t even bother to include a Ninjago black bandana. I think I will just buy the set in July and hope the WS will be made available more freely within that time limit or I will just get whatever promo they think needs to be released then.

By in Australia,

What web site do I go to to get this in Australia?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wonder if it's not moving quite as briskly as LEGO had hoped, at least in Europe.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Has anyone seen one of these ship from LEGO.com in Europe yet? I ordered mine pretty much as soon as I could, and the order is just sitting there "In Process". I'm starting to worry that because I ordered when it still said "preorder" my order has gone into some weird state and isn't counting as a VIP early access.

(And yes, I'm just being impatient; I know LEGO.com don't garuntee same-day dispatch or anything... just this is the first time I've used express delivery and not had it in my mits the next day.)

By in United Kingdom,

^I ordered mine just after 8am yesterday morning (I was hoping to wait until the double VIP points next month to order but was swayed by the unexpected inclusion of our good friend Bucky. Well played, LEGO, well played) and I got an email at 19:25pm to tell me it had shipped. According to the shipping tracker number, it's in transit and should be here between tomorrow and Monday.

Hope this helps.

By in Puerto Rico,

I will save my cash for most of JW and Avengers 2 sets and wait until Lego makes a set with Winter Soldier.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thanks guys. Sounds like they're just a bit snowed under this week. I'll try to be patient and hang-fire on contacting CS until the three-day window is over. I'm a little piqued that someone who ordered after me has had theirs shipped already, but my order also included a pile of Mixels, so I guess it'll take longer to pick and pack. :)

Thanks again.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Ordered on the 19th & shipping confirm email received, so I'd say your Mixels may well have caused your delay AggroBoy, all I ordered was the Helicarrier.

Would have to say I am disappointed that there is no Coulson mini-fig, but it gives me hope that we'll see an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D set or two in the future...

By in United States,

Damnit , I was hoping this would be a freebie with ANY Lego marvel purchase so I could get it without buying that expensive helicarrier.
Yes , I did just want it for the head for dark Jedi knights from the first KOTOR.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll have to pick up some of those heads on B-Link, they would be perfect for Ithilien Rangers from LOTR.

Gravatar
By in United States,

For the U.S. the Winter Soldier will be released as a June Promotion.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So more of a Spring Soldier then.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Even more exclusivity but typical of licensed sets- yet another character poorer kids cannot collect.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wow. I can't believe they're only giving the WS away with Helicarrier purchases. Much too expensive for me - I wonder how many collectors are getting priced out of Lego Super Heroes at the moment?

I'm happy to buy sets that offer good playability for the kids but I'll definitely be spending less than previously.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Details from LSBr: WS will be also for promotion in March - the usual £50+ purchase giveaway. However LSBr only received 100, so don't expect them to be available for long . . .

Gravatar
By in United States,

Man... Why does the winter soldier have to be $349.99!?!?!?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Where are the Weapons? Lego save too much by this polybag. I saw the helicarrier in shop today... not really what I want. Better use the money to get normal marvel sets.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

LSBr is the old standardised abbreviation of 'Lego Store Brighton'.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Well, I find the WS minifig to be uninspiring - the gap in printing between the mask and hair looks too 'straight' to my eyes.
As far as the Helicarrier goes, I'm dropping hints to my other half left right and centre. Even my eldest daughter got in on the act: "Dad, I saw the helicarrier on show in the Lego Store this afternoon! It's looks amazing!" Leeds Trinity, in case anyone is wondering.
Still, it's going to be a hard sell after getting Slave 1 for Valentine's Day. And of course moving house is not going to help.
And then there's the TIE Fighter, and Quinjet, the Tydirium...
Oh dear.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Hey guys,
Is there any chance that you can include the Australian store link at the end of these news articles as well please? Even just to show the world the ridiculous "Australia Tax" that we have to pay... :)
Loving Brickset so much... It is helping refuel my passion again.
Cheers,
Mike

I've ordered the Helicarrier on thursday and it arrived on friday! But the winter soldier and the drill was missing. Wrote an email to customer service and both missing free items arrived on tuesday.

Someone on EBay, I think from China, made custom Minifigures one being included, Winter Soldier :) Infact I actally have him sitting in my Minifigure Vault.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

"Free" is a nice expression when you need to invest 350€. They should have given it out for any Marvel purchase over 30€, not just the Helicarrier. And I doubt they will give Europeans a 2nd chance to get the figure.
