Doctor Who set teaser

So it's just a LEGO logo for 10 seconds, then a face for one second? Why would LEGO upload this?

That's pretty much every BBC Dr Who teaser so why not?

@Lama-mantis: That's why it's called a teaser, they're not showing very much.

That said, this means they are likely to unveil the set (or at least the figures) soon, which is good news for those interested.

The video doesn't include the Ideas logo. I think this is a theme, not a single set.

A 13 Doctors collectible minifigure series would be amazing, but probably unlikely...

If they are moving straight to a theme and not doing an Ideas set, that would be a first, correct? Even minecraft had the One-off ideas (Cuusoo) set.

Hopefully it WILL be a theme, and we'll get other Doctors as well. Not that keen on Capaldi...Tennant would be awesome. Would also love a brick built Dalek...

This and the Star Wars announcement make me wonder if I should be excited or meh.

I love that this is exactly like every BBC trailer for Doctor Who in that it reveals nothing, and that it alludes to Peter Capaldi's first appearance on-screen (as said above). I do wish it confirmed a figure of the 10th or 11th Doctor, though, and I still hope one is (eventually) produced!

How about a UCS Dalek?

Ok 2015 just got more interesting for me in terms of LEGO sets. This is a line that they can easiry do many lines for. Especially for the different Doctors.

Hopefully they continue it a bit like the minecraft sets and actually make a line of sets for the each doctor. Now that would be FABULOUS!

I agree with ijackson; I think the absence of an Ideas logo suggests this is going to be a full theme.

I wish everyone would stop complaining that it's too short. It's not a detailed, full set (or series) report, it's a TEASER. Teasers tease you with a very small ounce of information and only exist to build interest, which this does.

Last complaint: STOP WHINING ABOUT CAPALDI, PEOPLE! Of course they're going to make a Capaldi minifigure! He's the current Doctor! We'll be lucky if they make other Doctors but, if they don't, settle for the current Doctor or don't buy the set. If you have a problem with him, too bad, because it's not our choice. Same with the set. By the way, for @Lego Of Me and other members of the Oswald Opposition, I hear she's leaving next season.

Perhaps I'm unusual in liking Capaldi and Coleman! ;-)

Ugh, they had to go with the worst Doctor. I'm not of Capaldi at all and I hope it at least comes with the three doctors that came before.

Like @omnium says. Not really disappointed by the actors, it is the writing that really suffered since Tennant's run.

My guess is there is a line of play-sets with Capaldi, then there will be either a set with all, or many of the doctors and companions, or perhaps a CMF line or lines with Doctors, Companions and the various races or villians they run into? Then you could just plug your doctor and companion into the current set.
I thought LEGO would not make specific CMF lines for a theme, but then came Simpsons.
If this is only an Ideas set though, prospects are grim. But I do not believe LEGO has ever run a teaser for an 'Ideas' set have they?

True, I would like to see a CMF Doctor Who series. It would definitely be a nice way to get all the Doctors and some companions.

Love Capaldi's style of doctor (Not so keen on Clara with him though) Can't wait...does this mean it will come out before Big Bang and Wall-E? Want this set. Let's just hope it doesn't sell out in 0.00001 seconds like it did with the Exo-Suit!

Most interesting thing to me is, as people have noticed, the lack of the Ideas logo.

But I'm beyond trying to figure out Ideas, anymore. Ideas is dead.

The teaser was exactly what I expected, basically just like every single new who teaser, and unlike many I'm fine with that. At least we get to see the official minifigure (well head at least). I can't wait for this set and will probably buy two if my wallet can cope:)

What if there was a Day of the Doctor set? It would be missing a few Doctors, but they could include Capaldi for the surprisingly small amount of people who like him. His eyes were in it, after all. Or, they could do a series of 13 sets or so with one set for each Doctor and maybe they could come with their respective Doctor's companions. They could make the first few doctors in shades of black and grey because the shows were in black and white. It could have the outside of the TARDIS and the console room for that particular Doctor and a few enemies and some other stuff, like the Doctor's car or some setting stuff. Then everyone who unreasonably hates Capaldi can simply not buy him. I fear that will not be enogh for some, though.

Perhaps some genius designer could come up with a tardis that opens up and has insides for every Doctor. I am thinking along the lines of how 10188 has many scenes incorporated into the build.
Admittedly, it would be massive and expensive, but so is the Death Star.
