LEGO Glasses review

Posted by ,

Yesterday, LEGO announced an exciting new product called LEGO Glasses that should make sorting and finding LEGO parts much easier.

The Brothers Brick team has a pair already and has posted this video review:

I can't wait to get hold of some myself!

Off by a day, I guess. :)

If there was a function like this in google glasses I'd be far more tempted to actually consider them!

It was still 1st April in Hawaii when I posted this :)

Besides, it's so well done that it deserves a bigger audience...

To be fair to TBB, their own 'April Fool' gags were a bit lame, so it was probably a good idea for them to copy LEGO's as it was funnier...

Man, I really have to get me one of those!!! Hahaha...

I was so excited! Great joke, I just wish it was real.

If only! As a color-blind AFOL I would pay a great sum for glasses to help me sort all the crazy array of colors Lego now has! It is maddening, not to mention trying to discern between old brown and reddish brown. Even my non-color-blind kids struggle with that (when I ask for their assistance). Orange vs bright orange is another killer!

Although it is a bit obvious for april first.

Killer joke.

I wish this were real! It would really help my friend, who's color-blind! It got me for a bit, since it's not April 1st :D This would be cool if TLG did come out with something like this, however.

So awesome, will it be available at shop at home and lego stores?

That would be so awesome. I really liked how he brought a rubber mallet out to crush the clone brands.

He looks like a dork wearing those things...

...but then, those things would be awesome.

@ EvilPixieWorks I was wondering who else caught that remark. My wife and I were shocked when we scrolled back to see if he had actually said that. Even if it was supposed to be a joke, that's pretty bad. Use those black belts girls!

Your totally wrong @ EvilPixieWorks and jedibricks82. I'm glad Brother Bricks said that remark :)

No black belts girls :)

The irony in the "girls can't build" comment is that the Friends, Disney Princess, and Elves sets have some darn cool building techniques. Just look at the bow of Naida's Epic Adventure ship. (That said, I'm pretty sure that comment was supposed to be a parody of the whole "building toys are boys-only" attitude a lot of people have.)

Wow!!! That is very cool

At first it was seeming practical until I saw the close up. "Wait, they are just normal lego screens...and studs, wait what!? " But then of course "oh yeah, nano-technoligy".
Screw April fools.
