Bricks and Brick Culture magazines launch today
Posted by Huw,
Today is the day that Mark Guest's new magazines, Bricks and Bricks Culture, are launched. Myself and the rest of the team are heading to London later for a launch event this evening so I'll bring you coverage of that early tomorrow.
From what I've seen of Bricks in PDF form, it looks to be excellent. I contributed a couple of articles but due to my recent holiday I haven't been that involved, so I'm looking forward to seeing both titles in all their glory later. I'll let you know what I think tomorrow.
In the meantime, if you want to find out more about Mark Guest and what makes him tick you can watch Beyond The Brick's interview with him on YouTube that's just been published. You can also pre-order the magazines at the publisher's website. Initial problems with shopping carts etc. have now been resolved, I am told.

Can I download the PDF file, or do you actually have to buy the magazine?
I'll have a quick flick through them if I can find them in my local newsagent store, but I don't think I'll pick them up... yet. (There are a few too many sets I need for parts to MOC right now...)
Drat. Can't create an account on the publisher's site. It allows me to proceed to the next page as a guest. I guess I'll wait another few more days to see if the website starts working...
Excellent interview from Beyond The Brick!!
Cant create account either, cant subscribe to blocks or bricks and cant pay after adding to cart???Is there anyone in their office that can help?
Just placed my annual subscription for both mags without a problem.
It was the second time I tried to register, still having some issues. Now I see the promise for free US shipping has been deleted. I really want to support these magazines, but I am really unimpressed so far. Sorry, again, I am one who is supporting anything new for LEGO like this.
I was able to set up profile and ordered Bricks and Bricks Culture. I was able to check out, combined shipping cost of £5.50 to Belgium.
I couldn't set up a profile last night, but had no problem checking out and paying as a 'Guest'
Congratulations, Mark!
So as someone who subscribed on day one, when will the first issues to continental Europe start to ship?
Can you buy them from UK stores? If so, which ones?
I know it's not environmentally friendly, but I really do prefer hard copy to soft.
Way too much different magazines. I subscribed to Blocks a few months ago, and now that ? I hope for some consolidation.
