Battle of the Five Armies with free minifigs is a Sainsbury's exclusive
Posted by Huw,
We've just heard that, in the UK, Sainsbury's will be selling the Blu-ray edition of The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies with two free minifigs, Bain and Bard. Adverts have appeared in the shop this week.
The Bain, son of Bard minifigure is new and available only in this pack.
It's to be released on 20th April, next Monday. I know where I'll be heading first thing...
Thanks to Ben T for the news.

As if this is the last Hobbit/LOTR minifig we are getting. So much wasted potential...
Looks like a useful torso on the Bain figure. Any idea on the price for this? When I search the Battle of Five armies on the sainsbury's website I get a tin of Heinz beans !?
If it's not much more than my amazon pre-order I might be swapping provider.
Neat, I'll definitely make a trip to pick one up!
Please tell me these aren't provided in a polybag! Need to save some cash :)
Thanks for the great news, was only thinking this morning I hope one of our supermarkets have it. Will be heading there Monday morning!!
Got my a copy on Amazon.ca. the day the movie was released on this side of the pond.
I am yet to own a blu ray player...yet I am considering purchasing this blu ray set. At least it does come with the DVD as well if I am reading things correctly
^ Only in the USA/Canada: ours doesn't.
Surely it's on Amazon.co.uk?
If not, well... I'll have to do something about that.
(*Cough* Like going shopping, perhaps? *Cough*)
The only time I could have got a mention on the front page...alas it is not meant to be!
Thanks Huw, getting it.
Not sure if it they are available here is Oztraya, but I am not sure the 'figs are worth the shame of buying that abomination of a film. Plus it will make the price of each Minifigure about $22 - $25 AUD,, as most Blu-Ray new releases hover between 44-50 bucks.
Not a film I will ever watch again, I hope.
They were available in Oz about a month ago. I think in BigW.
Luckily I'm in London next week, now I know what to use spare time for.
Just got mine from the smaller Sainsbury at the bottom of the Moor in Sheffield :)
