Battle on Takodana revealed!

Posted by ,

The Entertainer has photos!

Those wanting to get Kylo Ren and Finn in a cheaper set, and a minifigure of space pirate Maz Kanata, are in luck.

It should be warned however that there is a spoiler regarding a certain character in this set. So if you are trying to avoid even the smallest pieces of information about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, do not click the thumbnail. Otherwise, go on ahead!

By in United States,

Nice detail for a small set. Great minifig selection, too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

As usual this is totally overpriced at £49.99
I'll be waiting for at least 40% off this one.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I LOVE the colours of this set!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are also images of the new Resistance Troop Transporter on the Entertainer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I seem to be missing the spoiler- is it seeing someone without his helmet?

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

He is without helmet in one trailer too ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's a LEGO Star Wars set, the set will probably be $50+ so how is that cheap? ;-p

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^^ Yep.

^^He has been seen without his helmet only in the Vanity Fair photo shoot, but that could have easily just been something with Adam Driver on-set rather than a scene in the film.

^ Cheaper than the alternative ways to get those minifigures? :P

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

I'll sure as hell will get this for the minifigs. It also seals that I will not be buying Kylo Ren's shuttle.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not a Lego Star Wars collector, but I am a sucker for jungle temple ruins, so I considered picking this up. Then I saw the price--yikes! I guess selling minifigs could make the price lower, but that's still more than I'd be willing to pay when there are so many great sets coming in 2016.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think it's kinda cool looking, I like display pieces like this, and good group of mini figs. I agree it's about $10 too much but that's Star Wars for ya

Gravatar
By in United States,

This looks amazing.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Did not click on the thumbnail. However, the small version is on the homepage. Everyone can see it. Good thing I don't know enough about the film to know someone with that hairstyle, but still.

Can you perhaps show another picture instead?

By in Poland,

Holy Merlin Magician! It's wonderful!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Maybe now it will stop people claiming Kylo Ren is Luke haha

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does anyone know what month this will come out it in?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ January, with the rest of the first wave of 2016 sets.

Gravatar
By in Japan,

Can we talk about the tree leaves in autumn colors?! This has me very excited!

Gravatar
By in Greece,

Kylo Ren et al! Love it!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm glad to see that the rumours of Kylo Ren in a cheaper set turned out to be true, so this has immediately gone on my wishlist. Looks like a decent set, and hoping that that UK price is just a retailer markup (though it probably isn't!)

Now I just need BB-8 to turn up in a set that's cheaper than £70 and that will do me for TFA stuff for the year! :oP

Gravatar
By in United States,

This Kylo Ren minifigure is way better than the one in the Command Shuttle. You still get his helmet, too.

I'd personally wanted to get the Kylo Ren and Finn minifigures but they were only available in the $100+ sets. So I guess this is an okay deal... It depends on how great the scene from the movie is regarding this set. If it's an awesome scene then it would be cool to build a Lego model on it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There were also official pics for Resistance Troop Transporter.

But yeah, $40-$50 for these two is way better than $270 for both other sets. Doesn't look like a half-bad playset either.

(About what I think is the spoiler... they're showing that character a certain way in all the TV spots now.)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh look, its that guy who was on Jimmy Kimmel the other night! ;)

Gravatar
By in United States,

That's what a battle passes for these days?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I just saw the Resistance Troop Transport set, that is totally a B-Wing!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

'Temple' aha... It's the most expensive brown wall I've ever seen.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll definitely be getting this for the bacon piece! Also, I guess Adam Driver is really the face of Kylo Ren, and that the Vanity Fair shoot was not just an on-set photo. Kind of takes a bit of the mystery out of the character.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Beautiful set! Definitely overpriced, but I love the forwar and arch builds. And of course, Kylo Ren and Finn's hairpiece!

Gravatar
By in France,

A bit expensive but the selection of minifigs is pretty good.
I will surely buy it when its price will be cut down.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^myscrnnm: My Dad pointed out the Bacon piece when I showed it to him too...

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ We already reported on this set with LEGO's accidental cache update early last month. However, we did readd the image to the database today with the revelation of this news, if you want to see it from there.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I will probably buy a few to use for parts and then sell the minifigs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It looks like Star Wars meets Minecraft.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

what are those six black studs, is there a studshooter in this set. that would be nice.
hat kind of`bacon' pice are you guys talking about.

*spoiler* I thauth the spoiler was not the hair and the face of kylo ren - we saw that alredy in a trailer Ithougth- but that kylo ren will face off aginst finn in takodana, and not only in the snowplanet we saw in the trailers.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Looks like a nice set!

EDIT: £50! Screw that!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Cool. I can sell my Millenium Falcon now as I can get Finn in this one. (Already have a 7965 MF)

Gravatar
By in United States,

@legoverslinder The 'bacon' piece is the flag hanging over the entrance.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

£50 for a few minifigs and a brown wall.... no

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I do like the look of Lego jungle ruins as much as the next guy or gal ... but yeah, it's gonna be absurdly expensive. So, pass.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Somehow this reminds me of 75017 Duel on Geonosis, which was also way overpriced. By the look of that technic pin under the tree I'd wager a bet the tree 'falls'.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Who's the cute little dude with the new head mold?

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks like Princess Leia in the Resistance Transporter. I think she's the fig in the middle with the purple body print.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Buy the set, sell the minifigures...that might work for me. Depends on how that GBP price gets translated into USD, anyway. It's at least more interesting to a non-SW-fan than any of the other sets I've seen from this wave. Would like to know more about the "play-features," though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Reminds me of 75017 Duel on Geonosis, but with fewer environmental details and no vehicle. And more expensive. Might get it for Kylo Ren, but I'll probably go after the Hoth line instead once they're released.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It looks like the tree falls and the top sections of the wall can be knocked off on the box

Gravatar
By in United States,

I might be interested, but pricing dictates all. But hey maybe u can make a Girls MOC now.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

also, the boxart of the troop transporter is verry verry butiful. I realy like it, but i think that there can't fit many minifigs in it.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Not much of a spoiler to me. At least it isn't Jar Jar. Same old boring rumours.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@magykfyre: That's not a droid, it's that pilot that was revealed a while ago. She's on the poster for TFA.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

So the Star Wars theme is now taking from the Hobbit theme consisting primarily of (expensive) walls and minifigs with nothing actually substantial to the set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like a quality set with everything a LEGO set should have - good figs, good pieces, good playability, and good appearance.
Too bad it's overpriced by at least $10.
...
lego pls
