Minifigure photography competition
Posted by Huw,
Last month we reviewed Jeff and Ed from BrickPicker.com's book The Ultimate Guide to Collectable LEGO sets. It seems it has been highly successful, so much so that the publisher has commissioned another book, this time on minifigures.
Rather than present page after page of catalogue-style minifigure images in it, the brothers want to make it more interesting by presenting photos of them in natural environments or creative scenes, so a competition has been started to encourage submissions that can be used in the book.
There are some great prizes available, perhaps the most rewarding of which is seeing your work in print, so take a look at the BrickPicker blog for full details, then get photographing!
That's not the only competition that's running at the moment. Our own alternative Advent calendar one is in full swing. There have been some stunning entries already and judging is going to be tough. Plus, Rebrickable.com has just started one as well, but I will tell you more about that tomorrow.

I am totally in for this... I have tons of photos
I would love to enter this, but unfortunately all of my works are going into a presentation for college :(
I have a ton of minfigures in real life photos starting at the bottom of page 2 of this Flickr album, but the submission process is crazy tedious and most of my items fail the minimum resolution size.
