City Advent Calendar Review: Day 12

Wrapped presents such as these are a mainstay of City Advent Calendars and the design was perfected years ago. Nevertheless, I am pleased to see a pair included here as they are superb festive accessories and will accompany the Christmas tree from day ten very nicely.

The bright colours of each gift look great and the ribbons on top are nicely represented using angled 1x1 tiles. This design has appeared numerous times before but I do not see how it can be improved upon, so perhaps something fresh would have been more appealing.

Overall - 4.0 - I have no significant complaints about today's gift but have penalised it a little as a result of its similarity to models from previous years.

Is it similar is some of the ones I have but, as you say, it has been perfected and is an important component of these sets

Lego keeps these going for the kids who get into Lego every year, not for AFOLS who buy them year after year. Of course there's going to be redundancies with past sets.
