Captain Rex's AT-TE

Captain Rex's AT-TE

©2016 LEGO Group

A selection of summer set images have been published on the Dutch LEGO shopping website Mister Bricks and these have now been added to the database.

You will find a list of the new set images here and they include models from the Star Wars, Super Heroes, Friends and Nexo Knights themes. It seems likely that the images we have so far relate to sets which will be released in May or June while others without images will not become available until later in the year.

Which sets are you most looking forward to? 75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE is one of my personal favourites.

By in United States,

I like this set and think it is a good choice. Personally, I enjoyed the episodes in the Star Wars Rebels TV show that this was in. Fifth Brother minifigure looks great.

Those Spider-Man sets are going to go fast, especially with the release of Civil War!

Ghost Rider Team Up, Service Station, Fin at the Park, and that about wraps it up.

A nice array of sets. None of them are high on my list, but the AT-TE is very nice, and that Hobgoblin minifig with the orange hood catches my eye.

All the new Super Heroes sets and the roller coaster look like, at least from parts/price, really good value, especially compared to previous waves.

Scrolling down the link provided, I got real excited when I came to the Lighting Device Pack by Samsonite thinking for a brief moment it's some new retro-design kit!

Sniff...no such luck...

Eh, the only one which has caught my eye so far is the Ghost Rider set. The Batman sets would be better if they were split up and sold as individual vehicles, and the Doc Ock mech just looks daft.

I do like the new AT-TE, however seeing as I already managed to pick up 2 of the previous version on clearance (total cost of both was less than the regular price of one :P), as well as already having the Clone Wars version, I'll have to pass on this one.

The Resistance X-Wing looks great though, definitely picking that up.

I'm tempted for the AT-TE but I dunno yet. It could really do with an added Phantom to park on the roof, I think. But I love Rex and his mates, three elderly clones making their way through a happy retirement.

Super Heroes sets look really fantastic this time, just like you first described them after London Toy Fair. Of course I'm most excited for Bridge Battle, but... Ghost Rider Team-Up looks like real value for money and I expect it to be a huge hit.

Will buy every Nexo Knight set, spectacular stuff.

Wow, the AT-TE is nice.

I'll wait for the VW Beetle 2016 version and the Big Ben!

I am like DC so much and yet I spent my money early on the Black Panther pursuit and ant Man set from last year looking forward to the civil war movie....that blue beetle minifig is great.

I want that set with Blue Beetle so much! And Eclipse Fighter looks like a good deal, and has cool figs.

AT-TE looks so much better than it did at Toy Fair... and yet, the other expensive sets are still better sets.

Superheroes sets, by-and-large, look great! The only bad ones are Killer Croc's Dentures of Doom (two ugly vehicles and one ugly bigfig, but people will buy it for the minifigs) and Doc Ock's Tentacle Trap (which is a bit less ugly, and has awesome minifigures.)

Friends Rollercoaster... I suspect the disappointingness of this set is down to marketing people who wanted more than one ride, and they all suffered as a result.

General Magmar's Siege Engine of Doom is frickin' awesome! Might be the best NEXO KNIGHTS offering yet, along with Axl's Tower Carrier.

YKW? (You know what?) I'm gonna get new NinjaGo vehicles this summer, period!

I liked the Rebels episode which the new Captain Rex AT-TE is based on, yet the set itself looks a bit of a mish mashed train wreck to me. Maybe it's due to my Lego OCD, but all those different colors coming together screams spare parts w/o all the right colors for a complete model lol. Although I was very happy to learn that the good Captain Rex and his fellow few good men didn't turn into bucket heads. If I had the extra cash I'd buy 2-3 Ultimate Bridge Battles and my Lego Town would have a proper means of crossing that river/chasm to the other table:) My daughter may be interested in the Friends Roller Coaster, although it does seem like the most boring roller coaster ride ever, maybe they could offer expansion packs w/loops!

I just can't believe they made a Spiderman bridge set without a Gwen Stacy minifigure. That's one of the most iconic scenes in all of Spiderman's history!

76057-1: Spider-Man: Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle has a taxi with only one seat. What, may I ask, would be the point of that? :P

EDIT: Maybe it's self-driving...

EDIT OF EDIT: Then the steering wheel would be pointless.

C'mon LEGO! I need my DC Ares minifigure!

Is the four-wide track gauge for the Friends rollercoaster new?

I agree with LegoSolo77, the AT-TE looks like an absolute mess. I'm guessing those that like it are familiar with the source material then? Rebels hasn't shown up on Netflix yet, so I haven't seen it.

^ There's a great couple of episodes at the beginning of season 2 where the heroes find Cpt Rex and two fellow clones who are living on a remote planet in a stolen AT-TE that they've decorated up as a sort of mobile home. They use it to go fishing. It's quite a fun idea.

^ There's a very loose explanation of how some Clones weren't committed to Order 66 and fled like the Jedi, but this isn't explored in too much depth. I'd like to see it come up somehow in Rogue One but I doubt it.

I personally also love the design of the ATTE. It captures the 'scrappy' aesthetic of their rust bucket vehicle where they've salvaged parts and most of those colours were present in the show. I would prefer if many of the yellow parts were tan or a sandy orange but generally it's on point. I'd like to see what there is in terms of interior!

No news on the Technic sets??

The AT-TE looks...disappointing. Why don't they just stop with the Rebels show sets altogether? We'd all be better off.
