I'll be holding off my purchase until next month to get the London Bus GWP. As nice as it is, the Classic Castle set isn't forcing my hand this month.
^ Well, the Classic Knight promo is already sold out, sadly. >:(
^Yes was hoping for a second one. But thankful for one. It was a nice set. The bus looks great as well.
This VW looks pretty awesome I would say so can't wait for the Brickset review. I don't mind the colour choice in fact its quite nice just not sure if its the colour I would have chosen but hey we can all go surfing with our Lego VW now!
Yeah I'm definitely grabbing one tomorrow ASAP. Damn you, Europe, making us Yanks wait another day for it :)
I'm waiting for the London bus promo before I order it.
Although it still annoys me that we have to pay € 15,00 more then our German neighbours and that in France it is also € 10,00 cheaper than it is over here. So much for a European UNION. ;-) Funny thing is also that the price differences are mostly on the Exclusive sets; normal sets don't have those big price differences as far as I know...
Sorry Lego, as big a fan I am, I've had it with these price differences. 15€ difference for the new VW beetle set, up to 50€ (!) difference for the Ghostbuster headquarters.
I'm cancelling more and more purchases of my wanted list because of this.
@Legorides: Exactly the reason why I cancelled my order for the Porsche Technic set and waited with purchasing the Ghostbuster headquarters until I was in Germany...
@gjhartog Indeed understandable.
I can even understand that there's some weird reason that there are price differences in EU (VAT among others), but that doesn't explain why certain other sets DO NOT have these differences (like you mentioned). I have yet to hear a reasonable explanation for this.
This would have been a day 1 purchase, but not anymore. One can only fear what the price difference with the Disney castle will be...
@Legorides, VAT difference between the Netherlands (21%) and Germany is (19%) is 2%, yet the difference in price is for the Beetle is almost 17%...
I'm also very curious to the reasonable explanation behind these difference... Can't be import or shipping costs, those are also comparable from what I know.
@Legorides, the price for the disney castle would be the same in the netherlands, belgium and germany: 350 euro. Strange policy...
When London Bus will be available in EU?
I hope that they made promotional mini Beetle - like VW Camper and Mini Cooper.
If you wait until tomorrow you`ll get a free Vulcano polybag (30350-1: Volcano Jackhammer) added to your order

^ According to the Lego calendar, it has to be a Lego CITY purchase $35 or above.
I didn't know about the London Bus until now :-O

Yep, I'll definitely wait for that!
^^Oh... I`m sorry... I read it but didn`t noticed that
There's no point ordering this now as there's no promo on offer, I'll wait for the London bus. This will be around for many years so no rush ;-)
€89.99 - Germany
€109.95 - Finland
Apparently the reason is that the warehouse is closer to Germany than it is to Finland, we all know that's not it but anyway.
GBHQ (among others) is €50 more expensive than in Germany, you would be forgiven for thinking Lego are a German company.
In Australia only come with a free Friends Cupcake stall, I already have two of them free from Big W. I think I'm going to wait for the London bus. Price are AU$149.99 here, is not too bad.
Swiss SFr 99,90 --> € 91.43 (8% tax)
Tho if i buy in Germany it's Taxfree and thus € 75,60
And i love the design, this one might end up under the christmas tree for the wife, since she just loves old beetles and LEGO.
It doesn't seem too be available in the US just yet, even after logging into my VIP account and clearing cookies.
Still wouldn't it be worth it to wait until August for the free London Bus [40220]?

I spoke with Lego Customer Service in the U.S. As of 9:30cst they are having issues with getting VIPs access to the VW Beetle. They said it should be up later today.
Ordered mine today, I had £50 of VIP points so got it for £19.99!!!
@eddyskywalker
The free Friends Cupcake Stall is only available with Friends, Elves, Disney purchase. You can't get it with the VW.
