3-for-2 on toys at Argos starts tomorrow

No store ever does such a thing over here as far as I know :( Happy shopping everyone :)

I bought the doctor strange set on Tuesday at Argos! It's a great set if anyone has the chance to buy it you should!

I have two questions:
1. Anyone know if argos sent to Spain ?
2. If the answer is sent, there is someone willing to buy for me and send it to me to Spain for a commission ?

This deal is amazing and seems to happen relatively frequently. Is it because Lego is overpriced in the UK, I wonder?

It tickles me when Americans bemoan the lack of such an offer there. You have great discounts year round, endless voucher opportunities, a huge secondary market & you're envious of a biannual offer where the retailer increases prices the day before, the website constantly crashes, it's difficult to find local stock and your orders have to play the box damage lottery.

@nate-dog7 - it's more to do with competing for sales, typically this offer ties in with school holidays or Christmas, times when people are more likely to be buying toys for their kids. Offers like this will draw in people who might have only purchased a single item elsewhere.

It is possible to order three of the same item, but sets being out of stock during these deals is not unusual (Argos apparently keeps sets listed on their website even if there is just a single one somewhere in the UK).

What I find a bit 'unfortunate' is that this time, the deal is only on selected items, not all toys. Some Lego sets are not included. :(

Just picked up three 60120 for £18. It's basically free minifigs

I'm on holiday but there's a store on the way to our next destination - a Star Wars set and two Nexo Knights sets await my collection :-)

Argh ! Been to too many music festivals over the last month to afford it...

thing with this deal, Amazon almostly instantly reduces everything to counter it, so you dont need to buy 3 of something,as Amzon will discount heavily on most matching sets, like First Order Tie Fighter abotu 40% off etc

Does anyone know if it's 3 for 2 on Lego if you choose the delivery option?

Er, isn't 2 for 1 better than 3 for 2? Or perhaps you mean you have to buy 2 of the same thing? Whereas Argos lets you buy 3 different things and the cheapest is free.

Tempted to go for Lego Technic Bucket Wheel Excavator x3 for maximum discount!

@HugeYellowBrick, you'll be lucky if you can find a store with 3. I've searched up to 60 mile radius and found only 1 in two different stores.
Anyone else been lucky?

Does anyone know how long they'll hold the stock for if you reserve it? I get paid on Monday...

The offer is on until the stores close on Tuesday 26 July 2016. Argos don't usually finish their offers early - there would be hell to play if they did! Not a good move.

@HugeYellowBrick - me too, I wish there was an easy way to find some people nearby to me to join me as having to sell the two extra sets on eBay would reduce the impact of the sale, probably! Three local people getting one each for £120 would be excellent.

Hey guys, having purchased quite a lot of Lego from Argos in the 3-2 deals there are a few ways to get what you want.. Follow Argos on Twitter so you know the minute they release the deal and you can reserve your stock straight away the day before the sale starts and collect within the next two days.. Argos are pretty regular with when they have these 3-2 offers so you can narrow it down to the exact week most of the time.. I.e summer holidays and Christmas.. Also another way to do this is to reserve items a few days before the sale and have them sent to store for when the sale starts, at least that way if the sale doesn't drop on the correct day at least the stock will be in your store so you'll have a better chance... Well that's what I have done sometimes.. Hope this helps others...

I've ordered three bucket wheel excavators @HugeYellowBrick, got up early this morning to secure them, Thursday is going to be a good day as long as Argos doesn't let me down.
I've already booked a day off work so I don't miss the delivery.

I spent the morning online and was able to purchase not only 3 Bucket Wheel Excavators, but also a number of the latest Elves sets, and some minecraft, all at our local out-of-town shop. A trip to the city centre shop was much less productive, as there were very few sets available. But I did get three assorted sets (usually £49.99, and all below RRP) for £99.98, and they gave me a £5.00 voucher! eBay, here I come.
