Bid on Crowkiller's Counting Cars custom painted Technic model

Posted by ,

Last week Brickset user and Technic expert Crowkillers (AKA Paul Boratko) appeared on the History Channel TV Show Counting Cars.

He took along an all-white Technic car for the team to paint which is now being auctioned on eBay with all proceeds being donated to charity to help Paul's friend's 3 year old son who has just been diagnosed with leukemia.

The result is absolutely stunning and should raise a lot of money. The current bid stands at $1125 but I am sure with your help it can go much higher. If you can, please bid now.

If you missed the show you can watch it here. You can read more about the car and the charity campaign here. A picture and video of the vehicle can be found after the break.

@James"Bucky"Barnes Me too. I hope the bid raises to help the poor kid. A beautiful thing with brickset is that the website post articles like this, in order to help children. And thank you, Paul, for your effort to help the kid.

Yes, if that was case in the US most of the people who are sick today there could feel sure that they would come back to an ordinary life after their time at the hospital. We could all be sure that kids who have cancer have all the chanses to get the best medicin their country provides, without paying for it. Unfortunatly the US don´t provide such healthcare as the UK and Sweden. (I know such discussions belongs to the Brickset forum, but i´m not 16)

That is a good looking car.
Unfortunately I do not collect Technic Lego.

Good luck to the child and family.
Maybe there is a link to the Charity for smaller donations?

I don't know if there would be any thought given to this but the idea of featuring articles by a builder that combined Lego Technic models sold to create something custom would be of interest to me and possibly others. The idea of using existing parts available with retail sets seems really appealing to me.

That sounds great! The Technic theme is great because of how many ways you can build cool models/vehicles out of the bricks from one or two sets. To me it feels like LEGO easily could open up a site, like they did with Remake, where Lego fans/fan designers could post their own custom Technic models with parts from one or more sets.

I don't like technic but this car is awesome. I'm afraid I don't have a thousand dollars to spend on Lego though. I hope this raises a lot of money to help the kid.
