Are you kidding me???????? I haven't yet recovered from the spending extravaganza that was the tesco 3 for 2 sale.
I haven't recovered from bricklive, my credit card is having treatment.
Don't worry, they never have anything in stock!
Its mean really tempting us with so much so quickly.......I'm cancelling Christmas........as I can't afford it until March now........ But hey bargains are bargains....... and a Lego bargain is the best.
^ I actually think a large part of my Lego hobby is trying to track down and work out the best bargain. Now if only I had time to build as much stuff as I buy....
Not only do Argos have very low stock levels of any set worth buying, their treatment of the boxes and their packing materials is beyond shocking. I will NEVER buy from Argos again regardless of theit offers but, I do try to get other retailers to price match so that I get a box that isn't smashed and covered in stickers. Tesco has been the best by far recently.
Huw etc.... not sure if the Discounts at Amazon has caught up..... both 10:30 and 12:30 ish missed 1 and 3 Rogue one sets...... shame as ive just paid £10 more in Argos as they are all different prices and Amazon has 33% off each......... not to bad though saved £77.50 with Argos Voucher and Nectar points.
'Brainslugged' glad it's not just me that spends hours each day tracking down bargains! Most of my purchases end up in the Lego wardrobe never to be built. I've managed to get quite a few bargains in Argos... just got 3 £100 Star Wars sets at £75 each so total £150 for 3. Was surprised they were in stock. Will probably keep them until the're retired.
i'm still recovering from Brick, Great Western Brick Show, and having to keep spending at lego.com to get all their freebies and double vip points and Smyths Toys and Toys R us doing mega deals on expensive sets like the Ghostbusters HQ for 219.99 - I need counciling lol
Do not buy from Argos unless you check the boxes carefully in-store yourself the amount of times I have had to return stuff is ridiculous. The store staff are pretty rough on the boxes but the delivery service is worse, they ship stuff in plastic bags so they are pretty trashed by the time they arrive. Some of the store staff were extremely rude I had to find a different store last time to get replacements. The staff there though were pleasant and ordered me a new set which I picked up before the stockroom took its toll but the whole process wasted a lot of time.
Amazon are also atrocious nowadays for proper packing. I only trust Tesco and a few other Toy retailers besides the official stores.
