Tartan Batman to be included in movie activity book
Posted by TheBrickPal,
Happy Thanksgiving to those of us in the United States! While you are stuck at a family gathering you might be longing for a distraction of some LEGO news. Thankfully, you are in luck with this little revelation...
The LEGO Batman Movie: Chaos in Gotham City is an activity book based on the upcoming film, to be available on January 31, 2017. While the book itself may not be of interest to most collectors, the biggest thing here is that it comes with an exclusive Batman minifigure in another type of Batsuit - a highlander-themed one dubbed Tartan Batman!
Are you looking forward to obtaining the figure when it releases, to add to the suits in the CMF series and 70909 Batcave Break-In? Let us know in the comments below.

I like the figure. All of these variants are fun to hide in layouts as little Easter eggs.
I wonder how they Come up with these Wacky suits? Btw I saw the full front page, and is that car bane is carrying in the background already known?
Good grief!
What about :
Accountant Batman, Tree Surgeon Batman, Punk Batman, Gay Batman, Blues Batman, Stand-up Comic Batman, Driving Instructor Batman, Grandad Batman, Australian Batman, Rambo Batman, Terminator Batman, Teenage Angst Batman, Stamp Collector Batman, Plumber Batman, Batman The Clown, Prof Batman, Goth Batman, Batman the Austro-Hungarian????
Sometimes, there just isn't enough of just one thing....
I like this type of variant. You can pick him up if you like him. But you can also ignore it without feeling like you have a hole in your collection.
That's sick! Probably won't want the book though. Official LEGO books aren't what they used to be...
@waylander And what about attack helicopter Batman,Army Batman, bacon Batman, teacher Batman and chicken Batman.
Robert the Bruce Wayne?
Another one?
Okay, now the completest in me is getting annoyed.
Yes happy Thanksgiving! You do realize though that Thanksgiving in Canada was a month ago and so by 'North America' you might instead mean USA. Minifig looks interesting anyways.
Just pre-ordered now. Love it, I already have a pretty good collection of batman and can't wait for the minifigs collection too.
^^ Fixed, thanks!
This is very interesting, especially since as far as I can remember these activity books have never had exclusive parts or figs in the past. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come.
Tartan Batman seems to be a fantastic execution of a hilarious concept. I can't quite tell what color his cape is — it looks like it might be Dark Brown, which would be a new color for that cape.
Ooh, nice. If I do get the book it'll probably only be for this fig.
I can literally see a CMF series that consists only of Batman variants.
does anyone knows the number of the mini figs from the other Scholastic magazines? I mean:
