San Diego Comic-Con yielded our first look at a brand new range of LEGO products, the BrickHeadz. The first four sets were available exclusively at the convention but several more have been revealed today and these will be more widely available. The models are based on characters from The LEGO Batman Movie and recent Marvel Cinematic Universe films, although there are more to come.

The prices have not yet been confirmed but the pieces are printed and I suspect this will inflate the cost to some degree. Hopefully we will find out within the next few days.

You can view images of all eight sets after the break...

41585 Batman - 91 pieces

41586 Batgirl - 99 pieces

41587 Robin - 101 pieces

41588 Joker - 151 pieces

41589 Captain America - 79 pieces

41590 Iron Man - 96 pieces

41591 Black Widow - 143 pieces

41592 The Hulk - 93 pieces

I think they look absolutely tremendous and will be fascinated to see which other characters and themes receive the BrickHeadz treatment in future.

Let us know what you think of the sets in the comments below.

WOW! These look amazing!

By in United States,

AGHHHHHHH!!!!! I totally have been waiting for these!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think I can see some influence from the Lego Batman Movie...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wouldn't say "influence" from the LEGO Batman Movie as much as they are actually based on the characters from The LEGO Batman Movie.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Holy cow, The Joker and Black Widow have a lot of pieces compared to everybody else! I suppose that's because of their hair.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Any guesses on price?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Probably just pick up the Batgirl one for myself!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Loving these!

I'm not gonna full myself: I will be getting them all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

And the BrickHeadz are the new exclusive theme that will be available to VIP members on February 15th.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I wish I liked these. I appreciate them as a neat, different style of build, but I'd rather see ccbs buildable figures or just more minifigure scale Superheroes sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These really look great! A bit worried about the price, but overall they look even better than the ones at Comic Con.

Gravatar
By in France,

Sorry for all the guys who are happy about those but i totally hate the Brckhdz

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Whats the number supposed to represent that each of them have on the platform?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would guess the number 1 means series 1?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The one thing I don't like about the BrickHeadz is the stubby legs.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

I guess these are pretty cool and nice to look at... It's just not my thing personally, so I won't be getting them.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

They would be perfect if they used light nougat instead of brick yellow. :P

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Thanks, Lego - more money saved. They look awful.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Really? Is this a thing? Don't we have enough with the collectible minifigs? They look like blown up (and probably overpriced ) Minecraft figures to me. Sorry for the rant, it's just not for me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd have to see these in person to appreciate them, I think. But they remind me too much of the POP! bobble head things.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Sorry LEGO totally not my Thing. I won't buy a single One of them. They are just awful. For everyone else : Happy building and collecting

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I actually don't like the look of these much at all, to be honest.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Thanks Lego for being nice to my wallet. The builds look way too similar to each other structurally and too childish. Despite being fans of these heroes, my kids don't want them. Bring back the constraction figures instead.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm guessing UK price about £15

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I have to say that I actually really like these! Hulk is probably my favourite, but Joker looks great and Black Widow's hair is very well done too. I much prefer this style to the constraction things that Star Wars are doing, because these look like actual Lego, unlike constraction figures which use pieces so specialised for limbs etc that don't remotely resemble classic Lego in my eyes. I dread to think of the cost of collecting them all though! One question, what's with the plates at their feet? They look like a face with a 1 in a speech bubble, kinda strange.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

NIce to see they're different from the comic con versions!

Gravatar
By in United States,

So, these are totally different than what was shown at SDCC....I really liked the classic colors cap and blue/grey batman rather than the MCU and LBM renditions here. These look pretty well rendered overall, but their source and character selection doesn't really excite me.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The prices for these will be laughable. Anything over $10 is too much, printed or not.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

This line seems to tap the same affinity for chibi superheroes as the Mighty Micros line. I wonder if it spells the end of MMs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Fortunately these are an easy pass for me. Can't say that about many themes.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I can see these being really popular as geeky desktop ornaments. Interested to see how they do

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

@yuffie each of these characters have individual set numbers though, so it looks like they're being sold separately

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

These look amaizing as desktop ornaments but I will be missing this first wave as I am holding out for Black Panther.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I quite like the Robin and Joker ones, but if these are priced above 9.99 in any currency it'll be a pass, or wait until they're on sale.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look great! I'm hoping to get my hands on that Joker one assuming it doesn't cost too much. I'd pay 15 dollars max for these, no more. These are very well done, and I like the prints

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

It has absolutely no appeal to me, they kinda look like LEGO-ified Funko POP-s, just for probably double price.
I can see why others might like it though, I think they will sell like hell.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If they are cheap enough they could be useful as parts sets, Otherwise they don't appeal to me at all.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Captain America and Iron Man look nearly identical to their SDCC versions. That's good. I really like the characters with hair, they seem to have much more personality....

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very unappealing to me.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ughh... Apart from a few interesting pieces, it's a hard pass.

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

This is awful. Not Lego!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look absolutely fantastic. I'll buy all of them!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

So LEGO is now cloning clone bricks?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Joker is my favorite of these.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Looking at the comments I guess the will do well in the USA but not so much in Europe....

Gravatar
By in United States,

My first comic con set was the Dr. strange and Black panther. I hope to get these at 10$ if higher I don't know.

Gravatar
By in United States,

OH MY GOSH. I. Need. These.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So LEGO is now imitating the Mega Bloks Kubros line? I like some of the head designs of the LEGO versions, but the hands and feet of the Kubros characters are better in my opinion.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

POP Funkos are a fantastic concept however the quality is very bad, maybe I'm just use to the high quality with LEGO. I simply don't purchase them at all, I'd love to own all of them if they looked like the product images, the execution of the paint and quality is poor.

Brick Headz will easily be a substitute for not getting the POP Funkos, I'm extremely happy this has become a thing and now I can start to replicate the style and build more characters.

I'd like to own majority of them besides 41586 - Batgirl and 41592 - The Hulk, then my head says why not get the two remaining when I'll likely own most of them. That would also mean I'd need to get the San Diego Comic Con 2016 ones too...

Honestly it will all come down to the pricing. The pieces range from 79 to 151. Therefore that could indicate retail prices between £9 - £15. I really hope they don't charge more than £11.99 for each Brick Headz. £9.99 would be perfect!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Those look fantastic, especially Cap & Iron Man. Hopefully they'll be $15 or so. Going by the comic con prices it may be $20 apiece but that's too much IMO. They'd probably sell a lot more for $15.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Definitely interested in the Robin and Black Widow ones, what I like about these more than Kubros is that they all have the same base design and have an appealing style I personally like. Hoping these are at the bare minimum; $15-19 CAD each!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I am definitely in the "hate these" camp. I can't see why anyone would like them. They look nothing like the real characters, just like some thrown together bricks with totally silly proportions. Nothing about them says "quality design" to me.
I mean, people complain about some ungainly details in the Constraction figures, but that's nothing in comparison to these complete disfigurations. I mean, what are they supposed to be? The Minecraft version of superheroes? I just don't get it. Even the dreadful Batman Movie CMF series is absolutely wonderful in comparison.

But as others have noted, they seem to be popular in America, not so much in Europe. Perhaps it's because we have a sense of style...
(don't get your rocks out, I'm just kidding)

In all seriousness though, does anyone know whether these will be sold in Europe at all anyway?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not my thing, but rather nicely done, and hopefully they'll price them in the same range as Funko POPs, since they're obviously trying to compete with them...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I've been avoiding POP Vinyl figures (I really like them!) as I decided to focus on Lego...

damn.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not bad. I think I like Kubros better, though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I guess I'm not the market for these. I don't know what to make of them. They look really blocky (hence the name), but that is what loses its appeal. I do like Joker's and Black Widow's hair though. Very clever build techniques for the shaping. I'm guessing my daughter will want BW and Batgirl. I'd love to get Robin with those glasses, but their stomach area is too sharp of a block for me to appreciate it. I'll wait for hopefully a good sale and look into them further...hopefully a clearance price.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Finally! Took them long enough. I want all the Marvel ones!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Not for me. First impression is they look lame!
