The LEGO Batman Movie now in theatres
Posted by Huw,The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theatres and cinemas in the USA and elsewhere today.
If you're in the USA it looks as if it'll be worth seeing it at a Cinemark theatre in 3D because you'll receive a free 5004928 Kiss Kiss Tuxedo Batman polybag when you do so. I don't know if you have to be a member of a club or something to qualify; I'm sure you'll enlighten me in the comments.
Do you know of any other promotions like this at cinemas? Let us know in the comments.

i can't wait to see it! I have heard nothing but good things about it
Too bad the idiots at Village Roadshow are repeating the same mistake they made last time despite the CEO of Village coming out and clearly saying they would never do it again.
Someone needs to show Graham Burke (one of the head honchos at Roadshow) the statements he made in regards to the mistake they made with The LEGO Movie and then ask the question of why they are doing exactly the same thing again despite previously saying "never again".
Here in Spain is impossible to get any polybags even toys'r'us does not carry them and we have no brand stores so we can get only the ones lego sends for online purchases but no other promo this mean no battle pod, no tuxedo, no bat signal, no phantom zone, no joker training dummy.... so sad
¨^^ I know how that feels^^
Here is the detailed article about the "mistake" mentioned above.

^ There's no logic to it, is there...
^ Thanks for posting that link, ChicoCheco.
As for the polybag, my initial reaction (not that I'm in the right country) is "why not a regular minifigure?" But I guess with the abundance of Batman a lot of people will end up with, I guess it'd easy enough to switch out the head/cowl.
Yeah I wish it was a regular minifig. I think it takes a bit of work to "minifigurify" (is that a new word for the LEGO dictionary?) keychains, because I understand that they're glued together as well as having that big screw boring into their little minifig heads?
As an Aussie, I'm thinking I might download it out of spite. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm definitely going to see it in the cinema, and I certainly won't WATCH a pirated copy of it! But at the same time I'll be damned if I won't help inflate those piracy numbers to tell Village Roadshow they can go stuff a cactus up their butts if they're gonna keep messing with us like this.
There is a promotion of receiving a TLBM polybag with the purchase of a 3D ticket at AMC theaters, while supplies last. The polybag , Bats and the Phantom Zone, is the same as the polybag that was/is being sold at Target.I believe you need to be an AMC club member to receive this gift.
Will Regal cinemas have any promotions? Maybe that battle pod I've heard so much about? Or the keychain? Also Toys r us has a deal if u spend 40$ in Lego D.C. Comics you get a free movie ticket.
To get the keychain, you're suppose to be a Cinemark rewards member (free to join) and have them scan the app when you go watch the movie. Will be trying to see if I can get one tonight when the movie comes out.
Heard weeks ago that AMC was supposed to be doing something, possibly a polybag. But haven't heard anything else since.
Are keychain minifigs glued together, or can they be taken apart?
@BigDumbWookiee Unfortunately, the pieces are all glued together, and the keychain part isn't removable.
This sucks for me. Just a few days ago, me and my dad reserved seats, and specificly DIDN'T choose 3d cause it drives our eyes crazy. Should of done it, though....
AMC is giving away the Batman in the Phantom Zone polybag this weekend.
A glued and screwed together minifigure (even an exclusive one) isn't worth the headache that 3D always gives me. Here's to hoping for a polybag with viewing the regular version.
I've never heard of Cinemark, so I thought I would look it up. The closest is about 4 hours away and it isn't even in my state. Not worth it. The figure is cool enough, but being a keychain, I won't HAVE to have it. Kudos to the others that do receive one though.
After all of the mixed reviews I've seen, I probably won't go opening weekend. We'll see. I think The LEGO Movie was the last one I've seen in theaters and that was a few years ago now, so they don't get my money too often.
I'm in Canada and have no way of nabbing this goofball, do I?
@LukeSkywalker It's actually fairly simple to un-keychain-ify a figure keychain. Take a look at the "3. Using a Soldering Iron" section in this link; I've done it myself and it works great.

Batman in particular would be a good figure to operate on: remove the chain, remove the now-has-a-hole-in-its-top mask, replace it with a proper minifig mask, and you're done.
Not sure what you mean by "mixed reviews." This film currently has a critic approval rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. When it premieres it will be the highest rated film in theaters.
@Morgan19 - Thanks for the soldering iron pin removal technique/tip!
@myscrnnm - It seems to me "mixed reviews" isn't the most precise term. The constructive critique the film has got is that it is more geared around fast paced gags, innuendo and laughs than about an overarching story with an emotional hook/payoff/message like the Lego Movie had. That doesn't mean that many people who note that still don't find it enjoyable.
Well, I didn't say I wouldn't enjoy it. I simply stated I've seen some reviews that weren't "Everything is Awesome." So I used the word mixed... whatever
I have a Cineamark, reserved leather reclining chairs, with beer and wine best place to see the movie, couldnt make the only 3D showing tonight, but have a ticket to the 930AM show tomorrow fingers crossed!!!
I just saw it in 3D but I didn't get one, I think I went to the worng cinema??
@TheBrickMaster2.0 Did you go to a Cinemark theater? You have to go to guest services and show them your Cinemark Connections app to redeem the offer. They didn't really advertise it at my theater. The person working at the box office didn't even know about the promotion.
I bought tickets to the regular showing (not 3D). They had the box of minifigures at the register and I asked politely if I could get one and the lady at the counter said 'sure no problem you can get two'! One for my son and one for me.
