The Times Batman gifts: how to get them
Posted by Huw,
We mentioned yesterday that on Saturday you can collect a 30522 Batman in the Phantom Zone polybag from Martin's and McColl's using a token in the day's edition of The Times.
If you're nowhere near a branch of those shops, or you want a second polybag you can also obtain them online, from mediapromos.co.uk/legobatman/ for just the cost of postage (£2.45)
Furthermore, you can also get a DK TLBM The Essential Guide sticker and activity book there as well, for just £1.99 postage.
There's nothing to suggest that the offer is only open to UK residents, in fact the payment form has a country drop-down box, so those of you outside the country may also be able to get hold of one.
Update: although you can attempt to order one from outside the UK, the small print, as pointed out in the comments, says 'delivery to UK addresses only'. I'm told that Ireland is also included.
More details after the break.

Ordered one 30522 set, destination Germany. I'll report back if it works.
I took the leap and just entered my German adress, let's see what happens.
So..I was able to put an order in from Australia. They were happy to bill my credit card...now to wait for delivery. Will it arrive before the LEGO Batman movie does, at the end of March? SameBatTimeAusNZ
I'm going to hazard a guess that they may regret giving this option either without a Newspaper promo code, or restricting the postage to mainland UK. Be interesting to see if they post a polybag to Australia for £2.45...

"...delivery to uk addresses only..."
Is it just me or does this sound too good to be true?
Is it just me that hasn't been able to load the actual payment form?
Ordered one, but chickened out and will have it sent to the folks in the UK rather than sent over here to Germany :-D
Thanks everyone, I'll update the article. Silly, then, that the form accepts foreign addresses and payment...
The home page seems to have the worlds slowest loading graphic - perhaps the page is suffering Brickset overload!! Brings back memories of dial up modems!
Got there in the end. Batman on his way. Saves messing about on Saturday trying to find a McColls where I am visiting. Thanks for the update.
As it says the online method is the way to get more than one, I'm assuming that you can only get one per customer at Martin's/McColl's regardless of how many copies of The Times you buy. I can understand why they have that limit but it's a bit of a nuisance. I wonder what they expect parents with more than one kid to do: treat one on Saturday and make the other(s) wait until their polybag(s) arrive(s) in the post?!
Ordered. Thanks for info. Don't have any of those in Northern Ireland, so this has saved me hassling the family in Stevenage just for them to have to post it to me anyway!
Finally manged to get the payment page to work and place and order, has anyone else received any kind of confirmation e-mail, does seem like a really odd site to be ordering from?
Why is the postage £2.45 ... is this the biggest polybag in the world? The website proudly says its 40p cheaper than royal mail cost. I would bet that it comes large letter for 96p.
I've received a confirmation email confirming a transaction success if that's any help. I'm not comforted by the spelling of 'Creative Path Markting' though....
Gave it a shot , seems to have processed . lets see
well, the times is £2.50 on a saturday, if the internet is to be believed so that could explain the cost!
It's worth checking out the main website as well; I found more Lego offers (Ninjago, Nexo Knights) through it and there's several Star Wars ones too, amongst others:

The Phantom Zone set was given away in Ireland today with copies of the Irish Independent in SuperValu stores. Just €2. They've another promotion tomorrow, I presume it'll be a different polybag. Pretty good offer, especially when giveaways are so rare here.
Whoops, put an order through before the article was updated and the comments above posted.
Let's see if they honour an Australian order then, or just cancel it...
@Obi_G, According to mysupermarket.co.uk and other sources, The Times is £1.50 on Saturdays, not £2.50. It's £2.50 on Sundays.
I've just ordered one but very annoyingly it only allows you to enter a billing address. It doesn't allow you to specify a different shipping address. I hope it comes soon since I'm moving to a different address in a few weeks!
In the USA, the "Batman in the Phantom Zone" polybag is available for sale at Target. I bought one there last month.
Confirmed same polybag with the Irish Independent today at Supervalu shops.
I too am taking the chance. The worst that can happen is that my MasterCard will be refunded £3.99.
Just done a tour of my local participating news agents and none of them received the poly. That's 6 stores in Worthing :(
Just picked up 2 at McColl's in Faversham :)
No luck at my local newsagent - Flitwick - and the manager told me that the next village also hasn't recieved them either. Disappointing.
So ordered online instead.
Ordered online last week, and now I'm getting spam about more promotions (DK Lego Books) in association with the Daily MAIL. I thought Lego were distancing themselves from those hate-mongers? Needless to say I quickly unsubscribed.
I ordered from mediapromo on the 11th, as yet I still haven't received anything. Anyone else still waiting? Will ring them soon.
