Immediate Media's latest LEGO title The LEGO Batman Movie is now available in all good newsagents in the UK for £3.99.

Mounted on the cover is a 'limited edition' Batman minifig in a foil pack but the minifig is anything but limited: it's the most common variant, sh318.

The next issue is set for publication on 26th April and will probably be the last: the small print inside suggests that this title is published just twice a year. Find out what the cover mounted gift will be after the break.

Ooh . . . the Batman minifig can be passed on, but the Joker minifig cannot.

Magazine! ;-)

Comic: "a periodical containing comic strips, intended chiefly for children."

Magazine: "a periodical publication containing articles and illustrations, often on a particular subject or aimed at a particular readership."

Either could apply but I feel the former is more appropriate.

"Gee, Batman, how come your mom lets you have TWO Batarangs?"
"MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!!!"

@Huw, {tongue in cheek}It's the foil sachet that the minifigure comes in that's a limited edition, not the minifigure itself. Obviously.{/tongue in cheek}

Seriously, the cover price is indeed £3.99 but I was charged £3.50 at WHS today.

It's mostly a comic book but includes other contents such as games and a poster, so I also reckon it qualifies as both a comic book and magazine. I suppose the classification is subjective as it depends on what contents are most important to each reader.

By in United Kingdom,

I managed to pick up a copy from my local ASDA on the way home and, as Zander mentioned, even though the cover price is £3.99 it scanned it through the checkout at £3.50. It works out the same as buying one of the CMF range and getting the comic for 50 pence. Not a bad deal. :)
