Here's a press release about this year's BRICKLIVE events in the UK:

BRICKLIVE, built for LEGO fans, has announced the dates of its first ever UK tour - bringing its array of astounding creations to legions of fans in Glasgow, London, Belfast and Birmingham in 2017.

The new schedule marks first-time visits to Glasgow and Belfast, with Glasgow kicking off the exciting national tour on 20th July. Tickets for BRICKLIVE in Glasgow are available to purchase now at www.BRICKLIVE.co.uk from £21.75.

The tour will travel to the capital on the 27th July, with BRICKLIVE returning to London’s ExCel. The event will then debut in Belfast’s Titanic Exhibition Centre on 3rd August – giving Irish fans access to exciting new content including the Dance Zone, Race Track and the Graffiti & Kingdom. Finally, BRICKLIVE will complete its 2017 tour when it visits Birmingham’s NEC for the third time on the 26th October.

There will be a range of fantastic features at each event for all of the family - including the popular BRICK PITS, with tonnes of LEGO bricks to play with, and the eye-popping Feature Builds, showcasing some of the most astonishing creations from the world’s very best LEGO builders.

Andy Smith, Director of Events at Multiplay said: “We’re fully committed to making this year’s events the best ever, with more bricks, builders, creations and fans than ever before! BRICKLIVE is the number one convention for LEGO fans in the UK, and we’re thrilled to be bringing it to more of them over the next twelve months.”

With an estimated 110,000 visitors over the four events, BRICKLIVE will welcome both professional and amateur fan displays for its crowds of family guests.

Can anyone please tell me the difference between normal entry and VIP? Can't Find any info on the website.

Timmack1716, the VIP prices look like they're a good £10-£18 more expensive than normal entry. You can find this out when you go to book the tickets.

I'm disappointed that there doesn't seem to be a reduced price for children. I only have the one primary-school-aged son, but, at the normal entry prices with the booking fee included, I'm looking at paying £43 or so . . .

VIP last year gave us a polybag reindeer, a lanyard, an extra pack of Dimensions cards and the bag to keep it all in. You also get early entry, or fast entry through a different gate (in Birmingham anyway) if you arrive when the masses are going in.

Personally it's not a deal I would go for again unless I get the fantastic 2-for-1 that I got last year.

Great day out for my three-year-old son, even my wife enjoyed it. Just get to Toys-R-Us as early as possible if you plan to go there. Two years ago I queued for almost an hour and last year it was a speedy 25 minutes. If you have VIP access you can go straight there, buy what you want and return it to your car so you don't have to carry it around all day. I will be going again this year too.

Thanks for your tips and comments. When I looked this morning for excel it was £16-£21 normal price and £30 for VIP if I buy 4, which I will be doing. As it'll be my first time plus impatient 5 and 7 year old kids I might go VIP.

They don't really seem all that committed to having fan builders exhibiting though, do they?
