By in United States,

Ed and Edna! Suffice to say I'm pretty shocked to see them crop up, in a movie set no less. I wonder how different they'll be from their TV show iterations...?

Shen-Li is also intriguing - is he an ally or enemy?

Sets sound interesting, they're definitely not shying away from the minifigures!

Looking forward to the movie for sure. I like the City Chase and Mech Dragon.

Whoa, Ed and Edna! That's a very very welcome surprise.

By in United States,

Spinjitzu? Glad to see they're keeping that!

By in Poland,

Interesting that Destiny Bounty has no Badguys.

By in Belgium,

Water Strider and the temple are shaping up really nicely- likely must buys for me. More enemies in the temple set would be welcome though. Plus, there's not enough civilians in my opinion.

By in United Kingdom,

The fire mech was no that expensive as I thought

By in Canada,

I'm glad the minifigure selection isn't too scarce, interesting how the last two contain no other villains besides Garmadon but it's also nice to get all 6 ninja.

By in United States,

The Lightning Jet so far seems to be the only one I'd buy, but only if Ed and Edna look like they do in the tv show. Other than that, the entire wave is a pass for me due to the different appearance of the minifigs. Once the official pictures are released, I'll decide for sure of I'll be getting any of the sets in this theme.

By in Puerto Rico,

Interesting sets, wonder who is Ham. As a fan of the TV series I find that the disconnection between the original source is sad, but I am willing to overlook that point if the movie is great.

So underwater-themed villains? That's one of the few things the Ninjago line hasn't really done yet (at least it's not more snakes for the 500th time), so that should be good. I'm not a huge fan of the Ninjago sets, but I tend to adore the minifigs (particularly their rogue's gallery of cool villains). So I'm onboard.

The Spinjitzu training seems like a must have. Kai and Zane in one set? For $10? I'm in!

By in Canada,

Interesting! Good to hear Spinjitzu will be a factor in the movie since the trailer didn't show it. I hope elemental powers will be as well. It's cool how many "civilian" names there are since like a lot of action/adventure themes, Ninjago often lacks civilian characters. There's a nice broad range of prices in this wave, and the main characters appear in enough different sets that buyers who want those characters can potentially pick and choose (though I'm sure there'll be variations, like some sets having their hoods and others having their hair).

It's interesting that one of the already confirmed characters, Koko, does not appear in any of these sets. So she's either in a not-yet-revealed set or the minifigures series. I like that the Destiny's Bounty includes the full ninja team, although as others have noted it's curious that it doesn't contain any villains. Perhaps it might have brick-built foes instead?

Based on what I've seen in the trailers, I think I will want to pick up at least the ninja vehicles and the Destiny's Bounty.

ANOTHER DESTINY'S BOUNTY! Really excited for that; the last two were great. Also good to see that the mech dragon isn't too expensive.

By in United States,

It's nice that the expensive sets include the full cast of Ninjas, which is something very few sets have done in the run of Ninjago. It's actually a nice spread of figs all around. Ed and Edna intrigue me; I hope they're not too far from their TV show forms (even if those are a bit boring.)

By in United States,

I'm so glad we are finally getting Ed and Edna. I've been waiting to get those characters in Minifigure form for years now.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Set photos have started to appear in places, but as they're watermarked, you won't be seeing them here. I can indeed confirm the validity of this information, though. :-)

By in United States,

Ed and Edna!? YESSSS!!! It looks like this movie will be following the same parentage of the show which is great, but that pales in comparison to the fact we're finally getting those two. I wanted sets of them the moment I saw them! Hopefully the movie stays true to their designs.

By in Canada,

I see no minifigure listing, but who else is hoping Dareth makes an appearance in the movie?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope Ed & Edna look more show-accurate when in minifigure form. The main charcters look TERRIBLE.

I wonder where did you get the details on the box of the 70617 - it just doesnt seem "right" considering the comparison to other Ninjago sets - see below. Weight..Dimensions.. number of pieces.. it weights almost as much as Airjitzu Temple - but the price is a little bit more than smaller Misfortune Keep?

70617 - Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate (? - double in the title?) Weapon
Dimensions 48 x 37.8 x 11.2 cm
(18.9 x 14.9 x 4.4 in) WEIGHT 2.12Kg (4.67 lb)

70751 - Temple of Airjitzu
2028 pcs
Dimensions 58.2 x 48 x 9.1 cm
(22.9 x 18.9 x 3.6 in) WEIGHT 2.56Kg (5.64 lb)

70605 - Misfortune's Keep
754 pcs
Dimensions 48 x 37.8 x 7.1 cm
(18.9 x 14.9 x 2.8 in) WEIGHT 1.38Kg (3.04 lb)

I'm not a fan of this new Ninjago. Hopefully Lego will keep making regular Ninjago sets.

By in Singapore,

Saw image of the Destiny's Bounty, I think it's the most detailed one so far!

By in Australia,

Oh...Master falls!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like that they have a very nice distribution of price points, unlike a certain upcoming Star Wars movie's sets...

EDIT: Ooooh the Water Strider set looks great, reminds me so much of Ultra Agents. I like new green dragon mech as well.

By in Czech Republic,

@ VaderFan2187 - your post doesnt mention at all box dimensions + weights.. again.. who decided that the "final weight" should be put nito bricket database - when NO BOX has been made yet? Are you prophets? I thought that the integrity of dbase data was one of the most valuable assets of this server...
