NINJAGO website updated to reflect movie

Posted by ,

The LEGO movie news keeps on rolling, with an update to the NINJAGO theme microsite at LEGO.com, which has been given a makeover to represent the forthcoming spinoff The LEGO NINJAGO Movie. You'd think they would just launch a new site for the film instead of changing the existing one, to avoid confusion between the different universes... but I digress.

You can watch the first trailer there, or download the teaser poster if you so choose. A new WU-CRU mission has also been added, in which you must identify the new looks of each of the six ninja. You can check out the high-quality minifigure photos that are supplied there after the break.

Zane:

Cole:

Jay:

Lloyd:

Kai:

Nya:

One thing that is not clear is when the rest of the site will follow suit with an update. With a release date of August 1st for the first wave of sets, I'd say it's not far behind.

Yeah, I totally agree. They launched a brand new microsite for the Lego Batman Movie instead of just changing the DC Super Heroes one, so why not do the same here? This is bound to cause some massive confusion to any new fans of the Ninjago Movie.

Can't wait for official images. Can't wait for the actual sets as well. I'm not a huge collector of all things Ninjago but have bought some of the sets and enjoyed those especially with dragons and of course the Temple.

These figures do look pretty cool!

This explains why there are no regular Ninjago summer sets. Or will there be?

I think the minifigs look pretty cool, but I'm not so keen with their faces... don't know why.
