LEGO has just published the European brand store calendar for July and August, which has revealed a number of enticing offers set to coincide with what is probably the slowest time of year for retail sales of indoor toys.

  • 40251 Mini Piggy Bank free with purchases over £50/55€, 1-31 July
  • 40265 Tic-Tac-Toe free with Friends purchases, 3 July-13 August
  • 5004936 Iconic Cave free with purchases over £25/30€, 10 August - 30 August

The figures in the cave set appear to be very similar to collectable minifigures 8683 Caveman and 8805 Cave Woman but with new print and hairpiece colours.

It can be a job keeping track of LEGO's myriad of offers so to help you we have a calendar on the top of the Buy page that lists all that we are aware of.

Interesting use of the word iconic

By in Sweden,

Love this, too bad I have to go 800 kilometers to get to my nearest Lego brand store.

By in Germany,

@The creative box: usually, these offers are mirrored at LEGO.com, so I would expect to get the same offers when ordering online.

By in Poland,

Maybe someday we will get Iconic Roman Soldiers Battle Pack...

By in United Kingdom,

So I guess Europe/Australia isn't going to be getting the Minifigure Travel Pack at all?

By in United Kingdom,

I'd guess that 'iconic' will translate differently when the english calendar appears.

By in United Kingdom,

Handy that the cave people are available after the Ninjago movie sets launch and also before some of my stash of VIP points expire...

By in Poland,

Shame these are just different colored printings. I would love more Cavemans...

By in Belgium,

@parsom: that would be awesome, I was still in my dark ages when those Roman CMFs appeared. Nowadays I can't justify buying them, or even think about building an army due to the prices on BL/eBay/...

@chrisaw: I'm certain we'll get the Travel Pack too in EU and in Australia. The Classic minifigs we got over the last three years were also distributed between continents with a few months in between.

By in United Kingdom,

Iconic cave is the English name, apparently...

By in Germany,

Ah, the piggy bank! And the cave looks cute, too! Good thing that there are still quite a few things I want to buy.

@chrisaw
I was hoping for that one, too, but we might still get it later this year. Happened with other freebies before, so I remain optimistic that we'll only get it later.

By in United Kingdom,

What happened to the classic promos that were presented in a white vintage box? Is 5004936 - Iconic Cave a part of that series? If that's the case dislike the box!

- 5002812 - Classic Spaceman Minifigure
- 5003082 - Classic Pirate Minifigure
- 5004419 - Classic Knights Minifigure

By in Puerto Rico,

I love it and I wonder, why doesn't Lego do this more often? Pick minifigures from past CMF and sell them in sets with slight variations?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Wait, what? VIP points expire!?

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Mickitat That is what I said!!
I looked it up and they do, but they say they send an email before it happens

By in Finland,

I don't like that they use CMFs with these store promotional sets. However, I'm happy that instead of using the EXACT same versions of the figures (like with Chicken Suit Guy and Gingerbread Man) they at least went with these distinctively different versions. But even then I wish they'd come up with something entirely new!

These will go great with my dinosaurs.

By in United Kingdom,

@Mickitat, In the UK, VIP points expire after two years. I don't know if it's the same in Germany.

By in Ireland,

@LegoLover58 uh the historical inaccuracies, dinosaurs were extinct at least 50 million years before the first primative humans appeared, and well before they started wearing anything resembling clothes. :P

By in United States,

Might as well have an "Iconic Civilian Car"

By in Sweden,

The bad thing with these promos are the lack of the really wanted figures - spartans, romans etc, CMF:s that are extremely expensive on the aftermarket nowadays. It would be nice to see an "Iconic ancient greek family" or something like that. Perhaps even an "Iconic classic musician" Mozart-look-alike with a powdered wig!

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Yea! I have neither of these minifigs and I like that it is not the ones from the cmf's because it keeps their rarity. Just a slight twist!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hmm, convinced me to delay my a-wing purchase to get them both. Good stuff.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

P.s. it looks like the figures are dual-molded!

Gravatar
By in Poland,

@ The creative box
True. However, chicken guy was highly popular and expensive.
So maybe someday ancient figures will come. Or maybe even ancient theme - with buildings etc.

Luke Skywalker, this theory of humans and dinosaurs living in different eras was disproved in the 60's with One Million Years BC and The Flintstones. Visual proof of their co-existence that can't be disputed.
