LEGO in London

Posted by ,

A few cryptic images have been posted on LEGO's Twitter feed today, apparently teasing the imminent announcement of a new product numbered 10258.

They feature some of the Series 17 Collectable Minifigures waiting for the bus at various London landmarks, perhaps in reference to an upcoming Creator Expert set...

Keep an eye out for further teasers as they are revealed over the next couple of days!

Awesome! Also, it looks like they have a position open for somebody with photoshops skills...

Here's my longshot prediction based on hope alone; the CMF's are waiting to be picked up by a new UCS Millennium Falcoln!

By in France,

Good lego sets this year have been like waiting for buses. You wait a long time for one and then three come along at the same time!!!

London bus? I thought we already had one but I must be wrong... XD

Will we get a mini London Bus for free when we buy this new one? :)

The Falcon will be shown on Force Friday 2017 (September 1st) and released to VIPs mid month and everyone else October 1.

My guesses for VIP early release sets...
July - London Bus
August - Ninjago City
September - Millenium Falcon
October - Christmas Set

By in Belgium,

Maybe they use minifigures to say it's minifigure scale?

It's a London Bus. China are bad for keeping secrets.

@magykfyre, true, we do already have the mini creator set London Bus, which ran just before the release of Big Ben last July. That is on sale at the Leics Sq store for £9.99.

Given LEGO's recent track record I'm going to assume it's a 6000-piece, £/$/€400 set.

By in Sweden,

I've seen pictures of it. I've heard it will go for 109 bucks and about 1600 pieces.

Regardless of what it is, I like the cryptic teasers. Builds anticipation and is fun for fans.

The internet is dark and full of spoilers.

I saw this on facebook without even looking for it. I didn't even know they were releasing a bus. It looks decent enough, but I likely don't NEED it, like I have with the other creator cars.

It does make you wonder if they will rerelease the polybag bus again or create something different.

I've seen the image of it, and it looks amazing! I'll have to make room in my LEGO London display

I love any LEGO set that's related to London or Britain. Having seen the leaked photos of 10258 online, I will definitely be getting this! It turned out looking even better than I thought it would, and will look great next to the miniature London Bus that was a giveaway last year.

Looks good from what I saw. It'll be fun to modify them into the various types of Routemaster as they were produced in a longer version with a small single bay dropped into the middle and there were green buses owned by London Country that ran side by side with red vehicles!

This should be a technic set, 40 years on, it would be perfect.

Is the hot dog, frappeccino, and checky dungarees particularly London-ish?

If you can get all the information there is about the new set on something like "The Brick Show", it is not a well kept secret, I guess ;-).

There are too many good big set releases at the moment - I will have to look at my little London bus close-up to pretend I have the expert one!

LEGO also tweeted a picture like this in front of Buckingham Palace today but then took it down less than 3 minutes after it was up... The caption was something about guessing where the next stop would be, but I passed it off as nothing until reading the article just now.

Looks neat. According to my research, it'll be priced at the reasonable $119.99 in the United States.
