40178 VIP Set revealed!

The Shanghai LEGO store has revealed 40178 VIP Set, an upcoming promotional item which will be available to LEGO VIP members at some point later this year.
This set is currently being given away with purchases of over 399 CNY in China, the equivalent of £45.75, $58.75 or €51.30. We do not yet know whether 40178 will be available worldwide but will let you know as soon as this is announced.

Curious to see if there will be another set to go with it - those connector pins look promising!

I didn't realize what it was at first, being so small. Seems alright.

Very cute! I have not opened my store opening set, so these would be a fine addition that I'd be less reluctant to open and build.
I like it! These minifigures will become highly sought after. I suddenly feel like I need the VIP guy.
Does anybody else think the "VIP" looks a little like "UP" with a figure in the middle? The P is perfect, but I feel like the V could use some work, although I can't think of a way to make it better myself at this scale.
I love the notion of VIP exclusive sets. The VIP benefits are great, but it would be nice to get exclusives now and then.
Of course, I also wish LEGO would offer subscription boxes, but that's neither here nor there.

Actually the keychain is a GWP in China instead of a present to a new VIP.

The set is kinda meh to me, but I do like the idea of VIP exclusive promotions.

@RikTheVeggie Yeah, you're right :-) Would be cool if it was a GWP with Ninjago Movie purchases here in the UK though! Roll on August!
