By in United Kingdom,

I quite like the bomber ship, and the 'darkside BB-8'

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Finn is laughing and Poe seems quite happy :)

By in Norway,

my poor wallet!

By in United Kingdom,

Bomber looks OK now but most likely will probably be even more of a grower - especially with the great lineup of minifigs. Star destroyer and Kylo's ship also look pretty great. The rest are a bit meh for my liking. Quite glad there aren't any aamzing must-have minifigs among the rest. More money for the UCS MF!

I still can't get over the fact that after all the criticism The Force Awakens received for being too much like A New Hope, this middle movie of the trilogy has AT-ATs walking across a white planet and there will no doubt be a wanna be Jedi getting trained up and some sort of reveal about Rey's parents (or BB9 being BB8's long lost brother). Unless Lucasfilm is specifically aiming for parallels in the way they added a whiny "Nooooooo" to Darth Vader at the end of the Return of the Jedi Blu-ray to parallel the whiny "Nooooooo" when he discovers his gf is dead at the end of Episode III.

By in United Kingdom,

I like the build able chewie, the black bb8 is smart and Kylo unmasked is cool too..

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is probably my least "liked" Star Wars released sets ever, definitely going to be waiting on these to go on sale.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Hmmm.. the scout walker isn't on there...

(Link removed... Huw)

By in United States,

i love the chewbacca figure

By in Canada,

@Brainslugged the problem people have with TFA is its a SW movie that it is a blatant rip off of another SW movie...and they couldn't even come up with a new twist or WMD. As bad as the prequel trilogy was at least the characters and story were original. TFA reminds me of Terry Brooks' The Sword of Shannara where there were just too many similarities to the Lord of the Rings.

By in Netherlands,

still missing the new Luke :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

The bomber, the pod and evil BB look great. Chewbacca...not so much.

By in United States,

To me it just seems far beyond silly that they're still disallowing the publishing of official set images when they've released the entire wave of the sets to the public to just walk in & buy at LEGOLAND locations already. Forget about the right hand knowing what the left is doing; they each seem unaware of the others' very existence :D

^^^
Yea i agree it is ridiculous, we just want to see the sets so we can start preparing our wallets! This is wave is gonna be a bank cleaner...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the Star Destroyer, the Bomber, and Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely UCS BB-8 and the walker.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@JANG - THEY'RE OUT?!

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Seems that Rey in the center is turning quite strong with the force. Not getting anything but a Heavy Walker polybag.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think the AT-ATs walker is great it looks amazing!

Gravatar
By in United States,

theJANG, what are you talking about? How are they on shelves at LEGOLAND early ... Did you buy some of the sets?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Disney is walking a fine line, and falling far off of it imo, by thinking they're pleasing OT fans w/a re-hashed OT plot outline and vehicles. Rather than gambling on creating an original storyline, complete w/new vehicles and locations, which could bring in new fans and old, they've played it fairly safe w/slightly altered re-creations of the OT. The Resistance Bomber is the only exception I can see to this, although it too takes its' design cues from earlier Rebel ships; which is perfectly ok because it is original enough that it'll be one of the few sets of this wave I buy early on. The rest can wait until my otherwise mile long wish list has been filled, or until there is a too good to pass up clearance sale. To me it's a bit sad really, although a relief to my wallet (and marriage lol), that the theme that brought me out of my dark ages is taking a back seat to great Ninjago Movie, Creator Expert, and Ideas sets, which is something I never thought would happen.

PS. The Chewbacca constraction figure just looks... weird.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Definitely want the UCS BB-8 and Kylo Ren's TIE, but only for BB-9e. Am I the only one who thinks the The Last Jedi ships seem lazily designed? At least with TFA we got Kylo Ren's command shuttle, but vehicles like the AT-AT and Star Destroyer in TLJ seem like they took the originals and made them more generic.

Gravatar
By in United States,

BB-H8 should have been its name...

I can safely save some money this wave, although I thought that about the last wave and found a lot on Walmart clearance so picked them up anyway...so if some of these turn to near 50% clearance, I may have to buy them also.

I can't wait to see the other buildable figures. Chewie looks decent enough.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The buildable figures have been an unexpected hit for me. Even looking at this wave, Im all stoked for the new Rey, Chewie and the FO Tie Pilot.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just wish the new films had some original new ship designs rather than retreading old original trilogy and making updated retro versions of these ships like the Rebellion alphabet ships or Tie fighters/Shuttles/Destroyers, puts me off buying evolved versions of the original trilogy ships as I already have many of them. At least the prequel movies sorta had memorable ships like the Naboo Nubian Royal Starship, Republic Gunships, Arc Fighters and Anakins Jedi star-fighter etc. Which made me more keen to buy a lego version of a unique ship I don't have!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@shaase: ripoff is definitely one way of looking at it. Tribute is another. Personally I think it's kind of cool that the new trilogy is kicking off with roughly the same (story wise) start as the original trilogy. Plus there's enough differences esp. in characters for it to feel original.

I just want to know who that FO trooper on the very right is. That's not still Phasma, is it?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I consider myself a big fan of SW Lego, but IMHO all of 1st wave of TLJ sets leave me cold and disinterested. I don't want any of them. In a way I am glad I don't like any of them as my bank balance might just stay in the black long enough to afford the Saturn V and the new UCS MF before they sell out.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anyone else seeing vader's tie in the top middle?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yup can see the tie advanced X1 silhouette, interesting.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Teriyaqi: the black stormtrooper? That's a Tie Fighter Pilot. But I'm pretty sure Phasma will be in this movie anyway.

@LegoSolo77: They pushed the boundaries plot-wise in Rogue One so now they know what their older fans want. However they can probably tell by now that the people who hated both movies probably won't like anything they create at this point simply because they don't want to like it, so will stop trying to pander to them. Hopefully then there will be some more originality.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wait, these sets are available for purchase at LEGOLAND and they still won't allow pictures of them? This nonsense again? It's not like there are any spoilers in the sets or anything...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sounds like TLG needs to wrangle in their contractors that stock the Legoland stores or maybe it's a draw to get them into the parks.

Chewy looks too odd for me but I do like some of the other sets.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

Nothing at all, literally nothing
I want only Luke minifigure which is absent
Lemme get the original trilogy sets D:

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Can't wait till the movies releases. These sweet sets will get some meaning by then. That First Order Star Destroyer is going to look nice on my shelf.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

My wallet is happy as I'm skipping this. Atat again- just better give me original one, poorman's darth etc. This is cool for my budget :)

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

The new trilogy is set about 30 years after the original trilogy, right? And yet vehicles like the AT-AT and Star Destroyer have remained basically the same?

So I guess Porsche are responsible for all the evil design in the galaxy. It all makes sense now....

Gravatar
By in France,

Bomber ship first and for sure, love the old WWII aircraft with turrets style and maybe... KR 's TIE, but I have to see the movie first. It will depend on what happens and how it appears in the story, how it will strike my imagination and my old star wars fan's heart... I collect those lego sets because a MF or a X wing are (for me) iconic, but since episode VII, I 'm a bit disappointed with the "meta-story", which is a bit a copy of the old trilogy with vilains wanting to conquer the galaxy and rebels destroying the ultimate weapon in the end. Many space dogfights and light saber duels are not enough to make a good star wars epic. So I'll wait and see if those new ships and heavy walkers mean really something to me... Or not.

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

After seeing what Disney has done to pixar which from brilliant original studio became sequel maker, I have no doubt they will continue squeezing money from these half reboots based on original atmosphere but modernised.

Only problem, main villain is pathetic compared to darth (bohoho my daddy put me in Luke's school which I left and now some generic janitor is my even match), there's no even remotely inspiring character as Han and whole atmosphere is without soul and seems to me sterile. But there is great benefit for me- I am collecting only original trilogy. If Disney makes something that I actually care for, I will start collecting this new pack but after these two movies I'm not holding my breath.

Too bad, I was hoping for something original but Disney is going safe and hiding behind original trilogy as much as they can.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not impressed, force awakens was pretty poor, and haven't got any sets from the film I think this will be the same. I have got rogue one sets but I did love that film even though the how it should of ended does make a good case for an alterative ending ha ha ha

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really don't get why LEGO is still trying to keep these sets under wraps. Especially considering that they're already being sold at LEGOLand and Toys R Us accidentally listed them on Ebay. Not to mention, from a business perspective, wouldn't it have made more sense to reveal these sets a couple weeks back so that people get excited for these, then their hype dies down in time for the UCS MF to get them hyped again. Surely you would want the UCS MF to be the complete star of the show and not just appear as another set in a wave?

Also, little mini rant after reading some of these comments: I can safely say that the Star Wars community is one of the worst, one reason being that the Prequels were different and mixed things up - people hated them for that. Then people hate TFA for being too similar to the Original Trilogy and not adding enough new stuff.

Finally, they release RO and now TLJ, which borrows concepts and vehicles and such from the Originals, but they also add new things, (U-wings, Tie Strikers; Resistance Bombers, Kylo Ren's TIE), and people still complain, saying it's either too similar to the Orginals, or too different.

The logic is strong with this community. :D

Edit: I also like how people are saying that this movie is going to be a copy of ESB even though all we've seen from this movie is a 2 minute teaser and some toys. :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm a bit confused - aren't these sets being released on September 1st? If so, why all the secrecy? It would be nice to be able to plan what I want to buy in advance.

I do not remember the Rogue One sets being such a big secret last year.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Old Luke will be exclusive to the UCS Falcon.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^ Got proof?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^Even if you did have proof, would it really make any sense for a main character to be exclusive to a $800?

Gravatar
By in United States,

^^ I think he's right!! And the UCS Falcon completes the image above.. As for proof, I don't have any except a hunch. Luke is an iconic figure and hasn't been seen in any sets thus far.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

@Sethro3. Thank you, from now on I will be calling that little droid BB-H8. Also, I like the short cone shaped piece that is used for the head; I wonder how that will be used in the future.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I thought Rey in the background was Qui-Gon-Gin for a split second and I got super excited and nerdy XD

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is the constraction stormtrooper on the right the main character from the new SW Battlefront game? The red markings look similar...?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Only TLJ set Im looking forward to is the TIE Silencer. Everything else is both hideous and hideously overpriced

Gravatar
By in United States,

I want the resistance pod because it looks cool and I like the character design for rose, particularly her hair. The FOHSW looks kind of weird, a bit like a cross between an AT-ST and an octopus. But I may get it for general hux. Kylo's tie is a maybe. I really like BB-H8 (yes, I'm calling the droid that too) so if I've got some space in my Christmas budget I might just get it. I don't have any real intentions to collect the rest. The resistance bomber looks cool but is too expensive, same goes for the FOHAW. As for the destroyer, I don't have room for it, so it's a no too. Very disappointing wave.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

What I really like about this wave is the Resistance Pod (but I'm afraid of the stickers on the cockpit and I like the "smaller" version aka Resistance Transport a bit more than just the cockpit -also with 40€ it's way overpriced), I also like the female Resistance trooper in the little FO Walker (a certain BL) and BB-8. I sort of like the Star Destroyer as a model from the outside, but I think there aren't enough play features or unique things, minifigs about it. Regarding the AT-AT, I prefer my old OT one, Kylos TIE doesn't do it for me (not a fan of huge ships that fit only one minifig) and the bomber is interesting, but too weird.

Gravatar
By in United States,

As cool as this looks, I'm a little worried that sometime soon Lego is going to spoil the movie for us.
