CITY Mountain Police magazine gift revealed

Posted by ,

The latest issue of the LEGO CITY magazine has just been released in Germany and with it comes some more information concerning the upcoming Mountain Police subtheme, courtesy of PROMOBRICKS. A small ATV and a Mountain Police Officer figure are shown on the last page, giving a good look at the new Police uniform. These will be packaged with the next issue.

Furthermore, a few of the vehicles which will be available in the larger sets are visible in the background on the right hand side, including a helicopter with tandem rotors, a speedboat and a lightweight buggy for the crooks. 60172 Dirt Road Pursuit was revealed just a couple of days ago so I expect we will see some of the other sets over the coming weeks and we will update you as soon as further images emerge.

Who is Galiner and why does that officer want them to die? ;-)

There’s also a skunk in the backround!

@TheBrickPal: it's "Gauner", not "Galiner", the font they use is a little awkward.
"Gauner" means "crooks".
The officer says "The crooks don't stand a chance".

I'll certainly buy that magazine when it hits the shelves in January.

By in United States,

My children and I were discussing potential city sub-themes for 2018 just this past week and I said something to the effect of, "The adventure sub-theme has done arctic, ocean, volcano, and jungle. I bet that this year they do either desert or mountain explorers. A mountain theme would also work great for police, since they've done forest police and swamp police." I love when I'm right. :-)

Isn't the Nexo Knights hint just showing a future or past Nexo Knights magazine gift? It looks like the glowing curve is the top of one of the knight's helmets so it seems likely to be a minifig pack

As a wildland firefighter I'd love to see fire included again in the mountain theme. But this time with the right gear.

@TheBrickPal: yes, die crooks.
German is a very brutal language I notice. We seem to want a lot of stuff to die...
die Frauen (women), die Geschichte (history), die Eisenbahn (railway), die Autobahn (motorway), die die die... ;-)
And to spell out the obvious for anyone who doesn't get the joke:
"die" (pronounced like the English "dee") is German for "the" (for "female" nouns that is, in contrast to "der" for "male" nouns or "das" for "neutral" nouns). Yeah, hard language I know :-)

By the way, it's "das" Lego over here.

@AustinPowers, actually German was one of the easier languages I've attempted to pick up (none of which successfully lol) along my travels. It is a beautiful country and I'd love to go back! As for this theme I was just thinking that my city needs more Police, especially more Police helicopters, just can't ever have enough of those (total sarcasm).

A speedboat. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I think about things associated with mountains.
