LEGO Games microsite imminent

The UK edition of the LEGO Club magazine, which I received today, has an advert on the back for LEGO games. It quotes a url, http://games.lego.co.uk, but at the moment that just redirects to the main LEGO home page. So keep your eyes peeled; presumably one day soon the site will be live.

There's been precious little information released about the games sets so far. I didn't see them when I visited the LEGO UK offices in February, and although they were on display at the London toy fair, which I didn't get to, photos weren't permitted. So, when the site is launched hopefully all will be revealed!

As you can see from the picture, there's a new kind of mini-minifig playing piece and a constructable dice which 'is built with different plates in each of the 10 LEGO games', so the magazine says.

And in said magazine, there is also the first proper photo (that I have seen) of one of the new technic sets.
Not sure about these games though... they look a bit, well, wierd.
Though I'm sure they'll appeal to someone else.

Why would it direct back to lego.com, not lego.co.uk? Is there no lego.co.uk?

EDIT: I tested the lego.co.uk link, and it says in the url, http://www.lego.com/en-gb/default.aspx?domainredir=lego.co.uk

Well, of course "en-gb" means English-Great Britain as does "en-us" means English-United States.

The lego club magazine showed them to be like some kind or board game (3d in some cases) with a wierd dice and wierd minifigs that stand on one stud. they look interesting to say the least, keep an eye on it!

speaking of games I went to game crazy yesterday to ask about lego battles for ds they said it comes out today around the country (U.S is all I know)

Good call GameOn99: yes we did have scant information before but given there's going to be a range of 10 games, we don't know much at all.
