Double or bonus VIP points at shop.LEGO.com

I would prefer the pod over 100 points... hopefully, I can buy a Brickheadz and get 100 points for it!

Guess what? The Double Points offer excludes the UCS Millennium Falcon! Not impressed, Lego.

Err... @zmarkella, it is where I live! They just received 48 of them into my local Lego shop this morning.

Okay, so they only have 47 in Cardiff Lego Shop now! Guy in the shop said he'd never heard of Lego doing points-offer exclusions on any set before and agreed it was supremely mean. I had to rush in and make the transaction quickly. If I'd have thought about it too long in the shop, I'd never have gone through with it. £650 on a Lego set. It's an act of lunacy. I don't even think the display model in the shop looks that great - but they've got it stuck to the wall in a weird angle and expect it looks a lot better at home. Hope it does. Someone please reassure me I've done the right thing! Aghhh!

@CCC - the banner on LEGO shop website also does not say anything being applicable for in-store sales ;) Once you get to the small print where it also mentions Stores you find there also "Double Points promotion excludes the Millennium Falcon™ (75192)"
So far such small print was always present on the flyer or calendars available for Stores and referenced by numbers in superscript on the title itself.
I doubt there are grounds for a complaint ...

Being excluded from double VIP points and announced to be available from retailers are contributing factors that it is still available in some Stores and not immediately snatched by quick flippers...

Here in the US, my lego store got their USC MF deliveries staggered in between the double point promotions. I just got mine last week, and all I got was the Keychain Sensei Wu. I looked at the guy and laughed. I am spending, over here with taxes 850 dollars and all I get in promotions is a keychain! However, I had been on the wait list and wasn't going to turn around and walk away.

I got one online last week but sorta assumed that it would not be included in double points, because of value, if id waited be sold out as it was in hours.
Mine arrived today at my work now to hide it at home later lol

Yeah, all I got was some crummy calendar! They say I'll get sent the special black VIP card, but I couldn't really give a rats bum about that - I'd have far preferred an extra £35 in points. Anyway, I've got the ML now, hopefully will find the time of Xmas to build and will be thinking 'this was soooo worth it!' in a couple of weeks. If not, I guess I wouldn't even lose too much by selling it on.

They're are approx 25 non double point eligible MF left in Cardiff right now.. but I'll be surprised if they don't all do today - I think 4 went in the half hour I was there!

@tgrbailey I'm surprised they went so fast! I'd have thought 48 MFs would have lasted a while in Cardiff.

I bought the Palace Cinema and the Parisien Restaurant today. The more I think about it, the less I want the Falcon, no matter how I turn it, I can't justify spending all that money on 1 set.

Do the Star Wars Brick Headz count for the extra 100 VIP points?

Back on topic I went to get a few items on double points and get the calendar... but on the way on the train I thought about cash back, and the vouchers in the Christmas catalogue and the pay pal voucher... so I did two orders one the way, one for silent Mary which I added the free gingerbread man and got £5 off with Paypal and 3% with top cash back and double VIP.... and then another for the palace cinema, using my £10 voucher and double VIP

I thought I'd get the mine loader from the store to get the calendar.... no mine loaders in stock :-( but they gave me a free shipping voucher, que 3rd LEGO.com order off the day!!

Still I came away with a rammed PAB cup and the two small Christmas sets :-)

And my mate decided not to make me lug a falcon home for him!!
