By in United States,

Thanks, I just bought the London Bus set.

By in United States,

Just bought the 42078 Mach anthem that I’ve been waiting a whole month to get. Hope it’s worth the wait

By in United States,

Been looking for an excuse to finally pick up Ninjago City, and to do it before the Ninjago City Docks are released... and this is as good as any!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just picked up United States Capitol and a couple Valentine's Bees, then it's off to the Lego Store tomorrow for UCS Snowspeeder and Slave I (in separate transactions, of course)!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I can finally order the diner after a long 4 weeks of waiting :) (plus a 3rd airshow jet so I can haz the hot dog stand too)

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

By in Netherlands,

Made my order to fit to get this set and the hot dog stand.

By in France,

AT-M6 ordered via Brickset, and 40290 automatically added to the basket... 149€ is a bit pricey for this set but I like it indeed and with this 60 Years celebration the moment is good. I don't know what to do with this 60 anniversary set : open and enjoy it, or keep it safe and sealed? The child and collectioner in me wants to build it, but the man tells me to wait and see... What do you think about it?

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

@brick't I'm going to build mine and enjoy it on the shelf afterwards!

By in Belgium,

The mini models may be representing the originals well, they seem way to fiddely to me and certainly not worth an extra € 125,- purchase.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Quite a high threshold, so...
I'll build a couple of these mini-models, to represent sets I own, from parts, then have a go at recreating other classics in the same way.
Thanks to LEGO for the inspiration! I quite fancy a couple of those 'Building Better Thinking' sets that include the anniversary tile too.

By in France,

Snowhitie I guess you're right :) and I know that I wonder what to do now, but that when the parcel will be delivered, and that I will have the box in my hands, I will do nothing but eventually open it, and enjoy building with my daughter! I have never been able to keep a set unopened, thinking about how much money it could represent a few years later... Building is the purpose. Building is the only way to appreciate sets. Even if I agree with people who think that 125€ is too high a price to get this. Lego should and could have done better and offer it for a cheaper order. At this price point I'm not sure that we can talk about a "free gift".

^^ bananaworld - good plan! It's a bit too high a threshold for me too at the moment so I think I'll do the same, looking forward to deciding which sets to try...

I "thought" I missed out on the poly VIP set last summer (40178) but I ended up getting the last one they had at my local Lego store in December - fingers crossed there might be one of these left for me in a couple of months, however I don't hold out much hope ;-)

By in United Kingdom,

Really want this but i fear £100 spend puts it out of reach for me at the moment (and many others). Maybe pick it up on bricklink if it's not going for too much.
Looking forward to seeing someone post a pic of the minibuilds next to the each of the full size versions of these sets though!

By in Germany,

I will also try to re-build the mini BSB or order the parts for it, as I own the original and it's sitting in it's original box as I don't have enough space to display. Spending 125€ on non-reduced sets doesn't sound too attractive to me right now.
What I'm really missing is something special for the Space theme. I know that one mini model is Space, I know we got Benny and his Spaceship. But still, there hasn't been much around for Space and SciFi fans since 1999. I love the SW sets, no doubt. But I also think it's time for a new Space theme, the last ones are already years gone, but I'm afraid they didn't sell well and now with regular SW movies coming up, there might not be a reason to put out even more SciFi sets.

By in Hungary,

ordered a dozen of half price wrist watch and 4 normal price buildable flowers... They will go out with a profit and the gift set can rest several years.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Nice, just ordered the Dinner with 70 EUR VIP-Points :) So 80 EUR für Dinner and the anniversary-set !

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

Lego is prepared to celebrate 60 years only with fans that have deeper pockets to afford quite expensive entrance. It would make more sense to keep it at regular level or even cheaper but that wouldn't be a lego that is today, so at least this 125 eur is consistent. Congratulations lego but I will have to skip your celebration. Your best and most appreciated fans today are resellers anyway.

By in Poland,

Is the Hot Dog Stand already out? :( I hoped to snatch both gifts at the same time, but it seems I am too late... Even though the promo page for it is still up.

By in United States,

From their site, "Item is valued at approximately a $4.99 (US) / $5.99 (CA) retail value." Can this be true??? I'd have thought closer to $15-20.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I am so disappointed that the Bottle of the ship would be 85euro for Ireland, wtf Lego, it is 70euro for Germany. Now I do not know what sets I should put together for this offer.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Yes, finally I can get the Cargo Train with some extra tracks, Outback Adventires and City Medical Helicopter, two freebies in one buy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

In the newsletter it says: Item is valued at approximately a $24.99 (US) / $24.99 (CA) retail value. Which seems to make more sense.

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

I'll wait for the ship in the bottle to be available, and then fill that up with other stuff to get over the threshold of 1200SEK (definitely something City to get the hot dog polybag as well). Would be great to get two of these, but I can't really afford that right now--not so much money-wise, but I have this gigantic backlog of sets to be built and I don't really know where to store stuff anymore...

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I took the chance to get the set together with the Diner. Used VIP points to pay 129.99 Euro. Very happy :-)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm torn, too--I'm not a keep it in the box collector type, but I kind of want to for this one. I'll probably open it, though. Lego is a toy, and toys should be played with :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

The LL928 mini is horrid. I didn’t think the tail fin could possibly be more oversized then on the 2015 micro ):

Gravatar
By in United States,

@diegobaca I just got mine today from a store. Receipt had the value as $24.99.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@yamaki - yes! Star Wars, while great, is -not- Space and we absolutely need a new space theme! I have to admit some of the Nijago sets actually look kinda space-ish, but also not the same. The last real space set I bought was the Lunar Limo (which is a fantastic and hilarious set).

To those complaining about the high threshold, this is not some 50 piece poly bag. They're not going to give away a $25 set when you purchase a $25 set. If you want it so badly, just buy something you know will retain value (I'd suggest the Apollo rocket) and flip it. Even if you lose a few bucks, this set is worth the difference. And if you're patient, wait a couple years and make a tidy profit selling it MISB after it's discontinued.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Lego official just replied me that if you are eligible for the 60yr Anniversary set then you won't be eligible for the free hotdog stand polybag via buying any City set :'(

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was going to order the Brick Bank to get this, but it's now on Backorder. I'm worried that if the Brick Bank sits on Backorder too long I may not get the promo.

Does anyone have experience with this before? I know for the UCS Millennium Falcon, they ended up shipping my promotional items first, but I've heard that in the past they don't always do that.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was so excited Saturn V looked to be in stock, only to see it was on Backorder and should ship within 30 days when I proceeded to check out. Oh well, I've waited since last summer, might as well wait another month and get the awesome 60 years promo set as a bonus! Maybe I'll have it by my birthday, which is actually a month away. It took some convincing to get my wife to agree to such an expensive and early purchase. "But the 60 years set will sell out soon!" I said. "You always say whatever LEGO you want will sell out soon," she said. "They always do!" I said.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Holy cow that was a fast sell out. I was planning on putting in my order today to get it. oh well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Very disappointed. I sprang for it on eBay. As an actual owner of the Yellow Castle and Black Seas Barracuda when they were released in the 80s, I really just have to have this. I was going to purchase the Ship in the Bottle (waiting for it to be available) along with the VW Beetle to get this promo set. I am pretty upset that I have to pay $45 to get it. I would not have guessed they would be snatched up in just a few days when they were supposed to be released for 2 weeks +. I am really starting to get angry with this hoarders who buy multiple copies just to resale. There are bulk boxes of these for sale on eBay.
