By in United States,

Either the website isn't working correctly, or there are no sales for the US.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Black card offer is pretty weak. There was potential to much better on that.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

2 Brickheads on sale for North America? Wow, some sale!

Gravatar
By in United States,

There are sales for the US, I only found: 75179 Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter and 75176 Resistance Transport Pod. I didn't check them all, but those two are confirmed. I had to add them to cart to see the sale price though.

By in Honduras,

Not calculating Double VIP Points for 75192 - Millennium Falcon.
Double Points offer "fine print" for VIP purchases within LEGO Star Wars, only excludes 75181 Y-Wing Starfighter.
Why no Double VIP Points for 75192 - Millennium Falcon?
Where do they state its not included in the offer?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

It looks like the sales are taking a while to show up. Some sets are on sale, but you can only see the price once you go to the specific page for the set or to your cart.

This is some of what is on sale currently in Canada:
75196 A-Wing vs. TIE Silencer Microfighters
75195 Ski Speeder vs. First Order Walker Microfighters
75176 Resistance Transport Pod
75177 First Order Heavy Scout Walker
75179 Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter

I'm really hoping the Snowspeeder or another UCS set will go on sale like in the UK...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The UCS Falcon is also currently available...let's see how long that lasts!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sales appear to be up now.

Have to say that lack of double points on the Y-wing is not cool.

Gravatar
By in United States,

If this is all they have, just a handfull of sets on discount, this might be the first May 4th Lego promotion I pass on in years. It seems they added a ton of Ninjago and Batman movie items to discount though. Not sets mind you, but accessories.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is pretty terrible. Very tempted to send the order I just placed for the pod back and buy both the pod and bb8 on the secondary market.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Double points on the UCS Falcon was too much for me to resist. I would have preferred a minifig to BB-8, although the little droid might be cute next to the big version.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

NZ gets just 10% off those "selected sets". And with only 8 in that selection it's a poor choice.

But BB-8 is free with $100 of SW sets, which is actually only £50 - so whoop-de-do, we're up on the UK deal. But down on the US one.

Double VIP points and a polybag don't even come close to the deals that can be had elsewhere. Another case of Farce Friday from LEGO's marketing department.

Gravatar
By in France,

Does anyone knows if sales will apply during the 4 days to the same sets or if that will change each day please? Thanks for your help.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

very disappointing sales! I already own 5 of the 8 sets on sale. I don't even think it's worth using my black VIP card. Lego is losing it's grip!

Gravatar
By in France,

I agree. Disappointed by sales proposed. But for doubled VIP points on 75192, and which is too expensive for me, not a single set I REALLY want to buy. That BB8 is cute but no enforced purchase for me today just for it. Better offers on retail shops here in France for this May the 4th... As big BB8 for 70€ in King Jouet.

Gravatar
By in Luxembourg,

Adding the Star Wars Brickheadz didn't count towards the €65 to get the BB8. That was a bit frustrating. I got one of the microfighters instead to get over the limit.

Gravatar
By in France,

Why double points on the MF but not the Y-wing?? Not impressed

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Might be worth noting that Australia and New Zealand also get the UK/EU specials, but only 10% off as opposed to 20%. I didn't even know Australian Shop @Home did sales. At least there are actually some sets worth getting from that bunch at that price.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I find this lack of sales disturbing.

Gravatar
By in France,

Re. the Y-wing poster.... at the time of order, black vip holders will need to input a promotional code that will have been sent separately via email... I found out after having placed my order.

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

I love how people can't resist saying "my black VIP card" rather than simply "my VIP card" - as though we're supposed to be impressed?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Surprised that 75201 First Order AT-ST is not in the sale... It would have been a good opportunity for Lego to try and get rid of some of them?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Darn it! The A wing was out of stock... the only thing I was interested in that was on sale.
Good to see that everyone with patience is rewarded with double points on MF. It might help with getting over the whole Black card nonsense.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Anyone having trouble ordering the MF? Waited a long time to get this, and now they have cancelled my order. Guessing it'll go out of stock very quickly.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Just ordered the FO Star destroyer. Was hoping on more sets to be on sale. Pretty small selection if you ask me.

Gravatar
By in Norway,

Norway is so damn expensive! Even with discounts it's still more expensive than the standard price in the US. lego really doesn't care about europe

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

@xanadu - call them and have it added to the shipment. They should see your order and that you have the Black VIP flag set. But if it gets already shipped out of warehouse then it is too late.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm not sure where you guys are getting around 40 sets on sale in the US and Canada. In the US only there are only 13 sets, all of which are still cheaper on Amazon, and WalMart clearanced them for 50% off like a month ago. This is really kind of a joke, right their along with the "Black Card." Looks like this will be the first May 4th I pass on buying anything in years....Just sad....

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

@aleydita Since the "black VIP card" has separate promotions it's actually nice to distinguish, just like we say if something is UK/Europe or US/CA or Australian promotions. Makes for easier reading if you can skim and see if it's relevant to you.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Seeing that they discounted the Snowspeeder 1 year after release, I'll wait till next year for Y-Wing. At least then, there will be x2 points and hopefully better freebies with it next year.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

When will DJ be on offer? I thought it was going to be a Black Vip card bonus. Or did I miss my opportunity?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Absolutely disappointing sales in the states. Loosing faith in Lego.

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Well I would've loved more disclunts but 20% will do. Time to check my bank account to break it.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Weak, very weak TLG!

I get a poster because I have a Black Card? Big deal

The BB-8 figure is ok, but not great.

No double VIP on the UCS Y-Wing?? That’s the only set I was going to buy today. There are too few SW sets on sale

Nope, not buying anything today.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Heard the poster is only A4 size. Seems a bit small.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Dang, was hoping for a deal on the UCS snowspeeder :-( struggling to find something interesting, might have to forgo on midi bb8

Gravatar
By in Norway,

@ELH2806 even with the discounts its more expensive than at my local TRU.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks pretty meh. Not buying anything this year. You're slipping, Lego.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I don't know whether this is of any help to anyone, but 2 weeks ago the Lego store at the MetroCentre, Gateshead UK, had 32 75192 MF in stock - I can't think they will have sold them all yet... I might be wrong, but possibly worth a try.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@aleydita, I guess they want to differentiate between the the regular "black" card and the "black centurion" VIP versions. The centurion has the $2,500 yearly minimum and the valet parking at the Lego stores. It also allows you to push children, 12 and younger, out of the way when free sets are offered. (Bonus pick a brick bucket if they cry).

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm definitely going to get something since I haven't put my Black VIP Card to good use yet.

I'm thinking about getting the Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive and the Ahch-To Island training sets, but I also really like the new Yoda Hut. At first I thought there aren't really that interesting Star Wars sets, but now I even have to make choices!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm glad I was able to get the UCS MF last year, but it smarts a bit that the VIP Black offer has yielded much less than what Double VIP points this morning will, essentially $80 towards another set.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

i think tomorow will add more sets on sale

Gravatar
By in United States,

They’re not including double VIP points for the Y-Wing in the US unfortunately. Really bummed about that

Gravatar
By in United States,

I noticed none of y'all mentioned the a wing. It's for sale at 20%, which is not bad. Other than that, I found it about as bad as last sale considering promos, but it's pitiful that they allowed double vip points last year for snowspeeder but not this year for y wing. I would understand though if they didn't do double vip points for any release in general, but to do it one year and not the next sucks.

Gravatar
By in United States,

They need to change the name of this promotion to "Maybe the 4th".

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Gvh the A-Wing has been on sale probably 3-4 times over the past year. Not that its bad, but "most" people already have them and "most" people are interested in the new stuff.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’d get something but I already bought the Knightcrawler last week so I’m sorta out of money.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'd love to get this polybag and the buildable R2-D2 from last time, and then lego you've got to produce a black BB8 builable, that would be epic,
Still tryin to get that Darth vader pod but it costs a fortune on Ebay..

Gravatar
By in United States,

UCS falcon in stock in US and double VIP points. Holly Crap!

Gravatar
By in United States,

This is incredibly disappointing....

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

Unfortunately quite lame discounts, as always. TRU offered 75192 at 70% of the Lego store price this morning. Now that’s more interesting.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Am I reading too much into the offer details: "** Double Points offer is valid on VIP purchases within LEGO® Star Wars™ merchandise from May 4th to May 6th 2018. Offer is not valid on 75181 Y-Wing Starfighter™. Points are attributed to the account once payment is received and will not be credited for purchases made prior to, or after this promotion. ..."
So, what's weird to me is that last sentence where is says "... credited for purchases made... AFTER this promotion." Does that mean I have to actually use the double points I receive from this deal during the "4th Weekend" or does it just mean I don't get double points for purchases made after the promotion (which seems obvious given they have dates for the promotion)? I want the points to still be there on my account after this "promotion" is over. Thanks.

Gravatar
By in United States,

No double points on any UCS from my cart... passing on any purchase today.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's a trap!

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

@miamijoe "Points [...] will not be credited for purchases made prior to, or after this promotion" is lawyerspeak for "you only get double VIP points for things you bought during the promotion, not before or after". So yeah it's pretty simple, but they gotta write it officially somewhere or they can get in big trouble.
And we're talking down to the second at the webshop, 23.59 on the last day you get it, as soon as it rolls over to 00:00 it's gone.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have no black card nor interest in the Y wing but seems giving those black members double points on the new ship would have been a pretty simple way to throw those folks a perk.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Agree with several of the comments above...May the 4th sales at TLG are officially anemic and uninteresting. I remember the B-Wing for 50% off in 2013, Palpatine's Arrest was 50% off in 2014, just to name a couple examples. And I think the Darth Revan polybag was the giveaway in 2014 as well. With the exception of the new UCS MF, I haven't really seen anything interesting in the SW theme from TLG in quite a while. The good news is I can save money for the upcoming Roller-coaster.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The B-Wing was epic--I'll never forget that purchase. What a steal--and that's a fantastic set, too. May the 4th ain't what it used to be, but double VIP on the Falcon (which is actually in stock--still!) is pretty awesome.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I mentioned above that lack of double points on the Y-Wing wasn't cool, and truthfully that fact leaves such a bad taste in my mouth that even though there are three sets on sale that I want, I'm probably just not going to bother ordering anything.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

The R2-D2 polybag from last year seems to be worth around 15 Euro by now.

So Y-Wing with regular VIP points plus BB-8 polybag might still be a better deal than Y-Wing with double VIP points (later this year) but without BB-8 polybag.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I bought the Snowspeeder. 20% off, plus double VIP points equals 30% off, plus free BB-8.
Fair deal I say. Everything else, meh.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Get in to business with the devil and he owns your ___. I doubt Lego is calling the shots on any of this.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Each year, the May the 4th "promo" seems to get weaker. 2x VIP for SW sets, but not for the new UCS Y-Wing? Mostly older or smaller sets on sale? Please. The only real deal in the US was 2x VIP + promo set with the UCS Falcon, which many most likely already own. Glad I waited on buying most SW sets for a while so I could get most of those newer microfighters and Chewbacca buildable figure now, but overall just a weak promo event. Fingers crossed that this is only temporary Lego executive meddling.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

MEH the force be with you TLG. Thanks for nothing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I bought the new Darth Vader buildable figure and Han Solo’s Landepeeder, but that didn’t get me to $100, so I also bought the Rey brickhead (my first), so I still get a BB-8! I’m happy about that

Gravatar
By in United States,

Its a missed opportunity - they should have had triple points on the new UCS set for black VIP card holders. Its not like we can use the points anywhere else...we are forced to buy more sets...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I added the Y-Wing to my cart today (just to check if the promotion was still available) and it showed the free BB-8 with it. Am I the only one who is seeing this on the website or is it just a mistake on the website.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was crossing my fingers for 20% off UCS Snowspeeder. Ended up getting 2x A-Wings (at 20% off) to get my BB-8 bonus and Y-Wing blueprint. All in all, not a good May the 4th this year...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

What utter rubbish! Black VIP card, another massive let down! Exclusive offers? Utterly rubbish!
Again I’m let down for my birthday!
So not impressed with my birthday weekend offers! Went to John Lewis and bought cheaper none Star Wars Lego sets instead!
Think Marvel has better thunder (but they do have Thor)

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I have ordered the Y-Wing now. Simply because I have to buy it directly from Lego (at least for a while) and I wanted to have the BB-8 polybag. The thing that seems strange about this whole discussion about double VIP points or not is that I wouldn't even consider buying a regular Lego Star Wars set that is not discounted by at least 20%.
