SDCC exclusive Apocalypseburg Unikitty!
Posted by CapnRex101,
LEGO has unveiled the third exclusive minifigure for the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con on Twitter. Apocalypseburg Unikitty is based upon The LEGO Movie 2 and features a new version of the popular character from the first film, looking angrier than ever before!
This figure includes two different expressions, depicting Angry Kitty and Rage Kitty. You can view them both after the break...
Do you collect Unikitty figures and will you be adding this one to your collection? Let us know in the comments.

So... Is this going to be noticeably different from the Unikitty in the rest of the movie?
Welp most unikitty collectors will never be able to collect them all now ,_,
GAAAh i hate these
I have been ok with missing every single SDCC thing this year......
......UNTIL NOW!!! DANG IT!
Can't see this remaining exclusive when the Lego Movie 2 comes out as surely they'll have to make this version of Unikitty in a set.
Crap. The only other exclusive minifig I've ever bought was the previous SDCC Unikitty. I was able to use an extra Cloud Cuckoo set to have both faces on bodies at once. I'd have to purchase two of these if I wanted to do the same thing. Gutted as I really don't think I could justify the cost. :(
@Umandraug: I expect we'll get a similar one in sets, just with a different facial expression from these two. Of course, there's no telling what other forms Unikitty might take over the course of the movie.
@FieryBricks: Considering this isn't even the first SDCC-exclusive Unikitty figure, I'm curious why this one would be the straw that breaks the camel's back (and not the Cutesykitty/Cheerykitty figure from 2014).
I'm not peeved about missing out, but this set is notable for being the first official Lego Movie 2 product to be outed.
Just noticed that the neck piece is a 1x1 plate rather than that nipple tile. I wonder if it's only on this SDCC version where this hasn't been fixed.
Also realised (stupidly) that there will be other near identical unikitties to this widely available so just the one SDCC will suffice as the exclusive 1x3 face brick can be substituted into a cheaper TLM2 Unikitty. Almost seems like a bargain now I only have to drop $100 instead of $200 to maintain a complete Unikitty collection.
Well, this figure is quite interesting. Even though I quite enjoy the Lego Movie theme, for some odd reason, I'm not quite mad on missing this one. Perhaps a few things are valuable, but I'm sure we'll see Unikitty in the Lego Movie 2 sets (and plus, she has her own sets and a minifigure series coming). Then again, considering most of my sets are from Licensed themes, it doesn't really surprise me on my lack of emotion for this figure...
@Golem25: You raise an interesting point. I'm sure this set might have an even higher price on the aftermarket, considering this is the first product from the Lego Movie 2, so I do feel bad for fans who really want this one.
Cool, as others might have noticed this is effectively the first TLM2 set released, wonder what else we shall get from this movie on the SDCC.....
Just like the BIONICLE reboot TLM2 is kicking it off with a Comic Con exclusive!
I'm certain that the only exclusive bits on this figure are the two face prints. The body, tail, ect. are probably going to come with a range of Unikitty's with different faces in the regular sets, and the spear bit on the side is easy enough to MoC. Practically identical to what happened with the Cutesy Kitty from 2014, except that came out the year of the movie instead of before.
The good thing is this version, or something very similar will probably end up in a set
Well I'm not really a collector...
No and no.
Well, Azog was an exclusive and then he got released in sets, so maybe that will be the case here as well.
All these exclusive versions of characters are very cool and such, but on the other side, for me there's no reason for them to exist, because I wont be able to get them unless I pay ridiculous sums of money on the secondary market.
But I am happy for those who were able to get their hands on these exclusives.
Nice spiky tail.
Looks like I will now have to sell another kidney & the other half of my liver to get this one :)
Of ALL THE FIGURES POSSIBLE, THEY HAD TO CHOOSE THIS ONE???!? Not that I would get it anyway, but this is a major disappointment.
Wow, she's armed and dangerous.
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur....
;-P
@Lyichir: Whoops i didn't know about that one, but its still bad for the few people that got the first one...
I only have one SDCC figure--the Cutesy/Cheery unikitty. Now I need to get another, because having all the unikitties matters to me for some reason. Drat it. Double drat it. (Don't get me started on the blind bag series; I'm having a bad enough day as it is....)
That caption is hilarious! ("some assembly is required....") I assume it's one of her lines from the new movie. Either way, I got a good laugh...
Sorry to sound like a sook, but I hate these SDCC exclusives. It just seems like the "lucky few" that get to them also happen to have Bricklink marketplaces where these things appear quite quickly for incredibly inflated prices.
Plus the actual amount of people that get to attend SDCC is minuscule compared to the general population, let alone the AFOL and family collectors.
Whinge over. For now.
I agree with @FieryBricks and @Mikey.1703, I HATE how these are SDCC exclusives! and to think people at SDCC get these for FREE!
I did the exact same thing as @Brainslugged did :O I got a second Cloud Cuckoo Land and complimented her with two bodies (I got the CCL for more bricks before I knew of the SDCC though)
but I paid almost 100 in all winning the ebay auction and having to concede with the ransom prices of shipping "ebay specialist shipping" (instead of the much more affordable regular shipping.)
in short I beg on my hands and knees: please people who can access SDCC, keep some for us! and don't sell them at ridiculous prices, and even if you do, please, pretty please don't use extra most expensive shipping T__T
